Hey! What's up?
So rushed chapter, I'm sorry. Most of these chapters are going to be unedited through November because of volleyball and I'm won't be able to answer comments, PMs and whatnot until up to a week late, so sorry for that too.
Also, announcement, I can't take any more reading requests. Those of you who I've already promised to edit and stuff I will, but it'll take a while. But I just have so much going on I don't have enough solid blocks of time to critique and really get into your books. I'm sorry, but I'd prefer to take a year and be able to sufficiently comment, than to have to just skim through chapters and vote.
ALSO HEY OKay so it has come to my attention that there are guys reading this. I know, I know, no fricking shiz, but it never really sunk in, you know? So specific shoutout to all of you for reading this far and dealing with my biased writing. I hope I didn't screw up the male character's pov's too bad.
OH WAIT I WANT YOU TO READ THIS TOO okay so you know the lullaby that Coal sings? Yeah, well I made the lyrics up, but some people have been looking for a tune, and I was wondering if you guys wanted me to post a vid of it on piano or singing or a music sheet or something? I don't know, I don't want to ruin it for you. It's kinda along the lines of a cast list.
So dedication goes to the lovely JadaQT, because they asked me to follow them for their birthday and I forgot because that's the sort of person I am, and I'm sorry so here's a dedication and I hope you like the chapter.
That's it for now, thanks for reading, voting, commenting and supporting, you all are seriously the most amazing people on the planet, and I hope you have a good day and like the chapter.

"I'm not one to go nosing all up in other people's business, but I would like to know what the hell just happened."
I turn to Eli, who's standing in the middle of the boathouse with arms akimbo. Everyone is breathing hard, hearts thumping, eyes wide.
I let tap Charlotte's arm and she follows me as I walk over. Eli is the only one that stayed, the other three teens must've checked out somewhere in the city.
"They won't snitch," Eli says, reading my thoughts. "Besides, I was in front of them the whole time. They saw zip."
Her words hardly calm my worry. Fear is like a drug. It makes people do things, it makes them unpredictable. I can't have unpredictable right now.
"Yo!" Eli says, snapping to get my attention. "Earth to Sam Rosales."
My head whips around to face her, blinking.
"That's not even your name," Eli mutters. "Is it?"
I shake my head. "No...I uh..." I avoid looking at Coal, who's staring at me. "I just...made it up. My name's Tide. Um, this is Charlotte and that's Coal."
"That's spelled with an A L, isn't it?" Eli asks, crossing her arms.
Coal shrugs, flicking a spurt of fire into the air, but it lacks his usual enthusiasm to show off. "Puns are great, huh?"
"Look, I'm sorry you got dragged into this," I start.
"And what, pray tell," Eli says in a clipped, impatient tone. "Is this?"
I feel a tap at my shoulder and I nod for Coal to check the perimeter. His footsteps are silent, presence disappearing from behind me.
Eli is still looking at me, mouth set, expression expectant.

FantasyHey, it's me again. Yes, Tide, the one and only Double Elemental. Even among the freaks I'm a freak. How fun. But enough about that. I'm a little busy trying to save the world from a genocidal woman who may or may not still be alive. I'm not entire...
