" Haaah....that's the stuff.... "

Evolto said in elation.

Upon piercing the woman's neck with his fingers, he started absorbing blood from her body to recover.

His wounds then started rapidly closing, the bigger ones healing at a more accelerated rate than the smaller ones.

He had also started to recover some of the stamina that he had lost in his previous fights.

Meanwhile, the valkyrie's body gradually shriveled up as Evolto extracted more and more blood from her.

Finally, when it looked akin to a fish that had been left out to dry in the sun, Evolto threw the body away.

As soon as the body came into contact with the ground, all that was left of the valkyrie started turning into dust, leaving behind only her outfit and equipment as her remains are carried away by the winds.

" Hmm....that was good. "

" However, I am still far from fully recovered. "

Evolto commented on himself, inspecting his body which looked fine on the outside, but he knew that his new body is just barely keeping itself from falling apart.

Ever since waking up, he had been continuously fighting and shaking off his pursuers, rarely, if ever taking the time to rest his body.

Coupled with the fact that he was literally born just a few hours ago, had his body not been as strong as it was, he doubted that he could've even smashed the glass of his tank.

However, strong as it was, the shock from all of the sudden combat had clearly overexerted the body, the stress from the excessive movements gradually piling up without being given any chance of relief.

" Luckily, there are plenty of food here..."

" I should be able to finish all of them fast enough if I absorb from multiple bodies at once... "

He then started walking towards the body nearest to him.

However, just as he was about to start his feast–

* ROAR *

* CRASH *

" !! "

Evolto whipped his head towards the direction of the thundering sound.

The thing that greeted his sight was a massive figure.

It's gargantuan body is white in color.

It's head has a line vertically running across it, splitting it into two halves.

It's face has a slit on each side, the left one being blue and the right one being pink.

On it's shoulders were two massive protusions, one blue and one pink just like the slits on it's face.

However, it's most prominent features were it's two enormous arms that seemed to make up over half of it's body mass.

In one of it's massive arms it was holding what looked to be a club-shaped weapon.

* ROAR *

Seeing it's prey right in front of it, the Emperor-class Honkai Beast let out a bestial roar.

' A Smash?! '

' No...I'm not detecting any signs of Nebula Gas...'

' Then....a Honkai Beast...?! '

Before he can even get an answer to that question however, the Assaka had already disappeared from his sight.

Instead, a giant shadow was cast over him—which is gradually getting bigger.

' Above–?! '

Not wasting time looking however, Evolto swiftly dodged over to the side.

Moments later, an earthsplitting sound was heard from his previous spot.

The Assaka had jumped from it's initial position and performed a drop attack on Evolto.

' Damn it! '

' Forget about the bodies, getting away from this thing is more important now! '

And so, Evolto began running away from the honkai beast.
