Construct-Proto : A New Beginning

Darkness.

Darkness as far as the eyes can see.

Neither stars nor light from the sun's ray present to illuminate the endless void.

In such a void, was a shapeless blob.

' Did I...lose? '

The blob thought to itself.

' The me...THIS ME, THAT HAD DEVOURED COUNTLESS WORLDS, PURGED ENTIRE CIVILIZATIONS TO ACHIEVE THE APEX OF POWER...lost? '

' To a bunch of hairless apes...? '

Evolto thought to himself, recalling the final battle between him and those damned self-proclaimed best duo.

There was anger, there was hatred, there was the apparent desire to rip and tear their world apart to rebuild it again so he can repeat the process.

However, none of those feelings lasted for long.

As his imprisonment in the void is longer.

An Untold Amount of Time Later

' How long has it been...since I've arrived here...? '

Evolto, left mostly alone to only his thoughts, questioned to himself.

Without a physical body, and the presence of light, he can only think and contemplate on his actions, not being able to act upon them or even do anything to escape his current situation.

In such an environment, where one can only think, the alien slime entered into a self-imposed state of grief.

At first, there was denial.

Denial in his defeat at the hands of the humans.

Denial that his arrogance was the cause of his defeat.

Denial that he was even defeated at all.

Then comes anger.

Anger at the thought that a couple of hairless apes was all it took to bring him, a destroyer of worlds, down.

Anger at the thought that he is now powerless to achieve anything.

And most importantly, anger at the thought that it was his own hubris all along that had promised him his defeat.

( Although he would never admit the latter even if it killed him again )

Then, there was nothing.

Due to his extraterrestial physiology, he lost almost all of the emotions he gained during his time on earth while floating around in the endless void.

( " You think you can destroy me ?! " )

He recalled the scene in his mind.

( " LIKE HELL YOU WILL, YOU PUNY HUMANS!! " )

The moment of his defeat had been repeated over and over again since he was left alone to his thoughts.

' I can not believe those were my last words...how pathetic. '

Evolto has since accepted his fate, now forever doomed to be a prisoner of this endless void.

Deciding to think about something else than his ( rather embarassing ) defeat for once, he rummaged through his memory bank just to recall anything that is able to take his mind off that scene.

He recalled a great many memorable moments from his time on earth.

The paintings he drew, the sceneries he witnessed, and the terrible coffee he would often brew for himself.

' Those were really terrible, weren't they...? '

Considering the taste and the effects it have on the human body, he doesn't understand why they even consider the idea of consuming such a thing in the first place.

He also recalled the many movies he would watch during his free time. The times when he is not up to something 'evil' .

' Looking back at it... '

' Why couldn't I've gone out with more of a bang? '

' That last line was SO not 'supervillain-like' at all... '

' How embarassing... '

He commented to himself, recalling all the movies he watched.

' If only I can re-do it all over again, I would--huh? '

He cut off.

' What is that lig-- '

Were the last thoughts of the former planet devouring alien as he is thrusted into his new life, in a new world.

A world tormented by a malevolent will called the Honkai.

A world ruled by three factions, deadlocked in an endless war of attrition.

In such a world, Evolto has arrived.
