The space warped and twisted, vomitting out two figures before returning to normal.
One is an old man with white hair, dressed in laboratory attire.
The other is clad in a suit of armor, with streaks of gold covering a mix of blue and red, underneath it all a jet-black suit.
" !? " Dr.Magi showed visible surprise at the fact that he had suddenly found himself on top of a building, but more importantly the fact that he is alive.
' Is this what hell looks like? ' he asked himself, rejecting the narrative that he is still alive and breathing.
Yet, his pale-hands says otherwise, along with the heartbeat he can clearly feel in his chest.
" I'm...I'm alive....But, how...? " he asked to no one in particular, yet a voice answered him anyway.
" Yo. "
" !! "
He turned around, and to contribute to even further confusion, a figure wearing an enigmatic battlesuit is standing there.
" Wha...! W-Who are you...?! "
" ...Not even a "Thank You", I see. "
It was Evolto who had "saved" him.
Just as the reactor was about to explode, she had used her powers to teleport both of them to safety.
" Is this your doing? What's happening...? Who are y- "
" Okay, okay. Chill out, Dr.Magi. Shouldn't you be thankful you're still kicking right now? "
" .... " He supposed there is some truth to that, yet that only made him more confused.
Nevermind the fact that he is alive, he should, and wanted to, have died in that building as a redemption for his sins.
" ...Why did you do it...? "
" Hm? "
" A sinner like me.... "
" .... "
" Why did you save a sinner like me? "
That is the only conclusion that makes sense to him, yet even despite that it only raised more questions than answers.
Why?
How?
" ...Straight to business, are we? "
" Answer me...! "
" Hmm... " Evolto brought her fingers to her chin as she thought of an answer.
" Well....you can say that I've been watching. "

" Seeing you down there trying to save everyone in the city....have truly touched my heart. " she brought a hand to her chest.

" .... " And it would seem Dr.Magi isn't buying it either, but the way the man(?) answered him implied that he will not be getting the truth even if he asked anyway.
" ....What do you want? "

" You can't have "saved" someone like me just because you felt touched, right...? "
