" Alright...which one of you was it? "
Evolto said to the four rabbits in front of her.
When she had woken up this morning, she had found that someone, or something had broken the lid of the jar containing the coffee beans.
When she came to it, she found the beans surrounded by the rabbits.
Luckily, Evolto was quick on her feet as she snatched away all four of them before they have the chance to eat it.
Though, now she found herself to be short of coffee, the ones that didn't touch the dirty floor being only half of the coffee beans.
' I am not that desperate that I'm about to drink coffee from beans that had literally touched the floor... '
" Was it you? White one over there...? "
" Or you, the orange runt? "
In respond to the interrogation( kind of ), the rabbits simply stared at the pale-haired girl.
" ....(stare).... "
" ....(stare).... "
" ....(stare).... "
" ....(stare).... "
" ....What am I doing....? "
Evolto asked herself, putting a palm on her face as she realised the absurdity of what she is doing currently.
" ....Whatever. Regardless of which one of you did it, all of you– "
* SMASH *
Suddenly, the ears of the adult rabbit of the group perked up, then out of nowhere it started to sprint into the adjacent room where the sound of glass breaking was heard.
It was the room Evolto had stashed the coffee beans in.
" Hey! Wait! Where the hell are you–?! "
She said as she caught up with the rabbit, but before she can capture it did she witness something that made her doubt her eyes.
The white rabbit is currently fending off a group of rats that had knocked over the jar of coffee beans.
Suddenly, one of the rats used it's teeth and bit the white rabbit's foot, earning a pained squeak from it.
* SQUEAK! *
" !! "
Seeing this, Evolto was brought out of her stupor, and immediately dashed towards the group of rats before catching all of them, ending their life by squeezing them to death in her hand.
Not using this opportunity to drink the blood however, she simply threw the bodies away as she got closer to the rabbit and examined it's injuries.
" What the hell are you–?! "
She was about to continue to chastise the rabbit, but stopped when she saw the broken jar of coffee beans.
" ....You were....protecting them from the rats....? "
The rabbit simply stared at Evolto in return.
" Why would you do that, you stupid vermin...?! "
" There is literally no reason for you to be protecting something that is literal poison to your kind...! "
" Was it because you want to eat it?! Is that why you fended off the rats?! "
" They don't even taste that good, anyway! So why....?! "
