Construct-29 : Open Eyes

' Have I.....returned...? '

It was darkness.

' I see.... '

' So my second life ended just like that... '

' (chuckles)....truly, how laughable.... '

Evolto thought to himself.

' Hm? '

' What is this feeling...? '

He felt a foreign sensation on his 'back'.

' Soft.... '

' It is....soft... '

His thoughts trailed away, as his consciousness departs for the waking world.

Inside a bedroom in a certain house

On a bed inside the room, a white-haired girl was sleeping.

Suddenly, in the next moment, her closed eyes began to open.

" .... "

She was greeted with the sight of an unfamilliar ceiling.

She then got up from her position, only to be hit with an excruciating pain to her head.

" Ugh.... "

After a few seconds, the pain died down and she can finally examine her surroundings.

' Where....is this...? '

It was a bedroom that resembles a boy's bedroom, save for a few details that hinted at the owner of the room.

On the wall is the calendar that was marked ' Jan. 13Th. 2015 '.

Evolto decided to get up from the bed in order to further explore the room she is in.

She then went to the open window right next to the wall where the calendar was.

" This is.... "

Her eyes widened upon the sight that greeted it.

Outside, one can see multiple buildings lined up next to each other, the sun's rays reflecting in the glass panes of the buildings.

The difference between this city and the previous town was that the streets were bustling with people.

" Soukai City...? "

Evolto had found herself suddenly being in Soukai City, on a bed inside a room even though she should have passed out on the roadside.

' How did I get here...? '

' Did I teleport...? '

' But I should have been out of energy... '

Before she can answer the various questions popping up in her head, she heard the sound of the door knob turning, prompting her to whip her head to the direction of the sound in surprise.

As the door opened, a woman who looked like she is in her late 30s entered the room, holding a tray with a mug on it.

" I see that you've woken up. " The woman said with a smile on her face.

' Who?! '

Evolto simply looked at the woman cautiously, partly because as she is now she cannot afford risking a fight recklessly.

The woman, seeing Evolto looking at her warily, let out a tiny sigh.

" (sigh)....Calm down, no one is going to hurt you or do anything bad to you. "
