Everyone has a place that means something to them.
Maybe it's the place they met their partner.
Maybe it's a place that you've sanctioned off for yourself just to escape.
I have a few. Most are things that have to do with my family.
I will do anything to protect those places because, to me, that's protecting not only the place but those people.
There's an open field out by my namesakes home. Used to, when I was little, me and my cousins would go play handball out in that field.
Over the years, the theater has become my home.
The theater is where I met some of the people who I am proud to call some of my best friends and family.
When I first got to the theater, I was honestly pretty shy. I didn't want to talk to anyone I didn't know. So for the first week and a half, I didn't.
At the theater I volunteer at, it is considered a campus. We have two different theaters.
When we had first started practice for this particular show, we had to use the other theater.
The other theater is where I met him.
I had already had one friend there when I started the show. She had gone to Washington state I think. I was left alone. For about two minutes.
That's when a random dude sat down next to me and started asking me my birthday. Apparently that's the day his YouTube channel got famous. September twenty first.
Over time, that random guy turned out to not be so random. Actually, he turned out to be someone like a brother to me.
I miss him.
That spot we were sitting that day I designated as our spot. After that day me and him would sit there. Some of his friends would sit with us too.
That place is a safe place.
That place is my 'somewhere only we know.'
