The adults always tell us we have it easy. We don't have a job. We have a roof over our heads. We have clothes on our backs.
I think they just think about the things that don't really matter. Well, not in the long stretch, at least. None of that matters if we don't have people around us.
I think that's why it hurts so much when we lose someone. Nope. I don't want to say that, actually. He isn't lost. He isn't gone. He's just gone ahead of us.
But it hurts because we don't have them around us. Humans automatically crave love. When we lose some, it's like someone has drilled a hole where the love once was.
Honestly, in this case, it doesn't even have to be death. It could be just drifting away from someone.
I think that's one thing that adults think they understand but have no clue about. I guarantee you that if they would listen to half the stuff that happens in our lives, they would wish to be back where they once were.
I wish life was easier.
Where did I go wrong?
Can I wake up?
