Chapter 51.

Monday, 10th of January, 2022.

Kimberly walked into the conference room, looking around. Everyone sat seated, and she had to wonder how she always ended up being the late one. Usually she had always been the first person to meet, but it seemed like things had changed now. She spotted Yuri sitting by himself at the long end of the table. She gave him a smile, letting him know he wasn't alone.

The others still haven't started trusting him, so Kimberly knew he was lonely. Kimberly walked up to the last seat available, settling down between Kyle and John. She yawned loudly, not bothering to hide it.

-"Slept bad tonight as well?" John asked, staring at the girl. She had been really tired these days, which made him wonder why she didn't sleep. It seemed like she had a good period now, so her sleep shouldn't be a problem.

-"I guess so," Kimberly said, yawning once more.
-"Maybe if you'd prioritise sleep over getting a dick shoved into you, you wouldn't be so tired," Phillip said, grinning directly at her. Kimberly groaned and rolled her eyes.
-"It's my fault she's tired, but it's not for the reason you think. I... talk a lot in my sleep," Simon said, covering for Kimberly.

He had noticed the sudden changes in her over the last few days, and he figured it had to be because of the fetus growing in her stomach. She had been going to the toilet more frequently and she always seemed tired. She had even complained about her breasts being painful. It was unlike her, but Simon didn't worry. He had been reading up a lot on pregnancies to prepare himself for what the future would bring. He only expected it to get worse within the next few weeks before getting better.

-"That would be it," John said. Kimberly had complained several times on how he talked in his sleep, which prevented her from sleeping. He didn't think too much of it. The girl had been through a lot, so obviously there had to be times where she couldn't fall asleep.

Shepherd cleared his throat, gaining everyone's attention. He got tired of their talk, and he didn't really have time for it either.
-"We all know why we're here, so let's focus on the task at hand. Meanwhile you guys have been home celebrating Christmas, I've been able to obtain the location of El Sin Nombre. She's locked up tight in a safe house just outside of Las Almas," Shepherd said. He looked at the soldiers sitting around the table, making sure they were paying him attention.

-"How did you obtain that information?" Kyle asked, curious as of to how he would have figured it out.
-"I obtained that information through my men, of course," Shepherd said. He leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms. "Valeria Garza, as her name is, is a former Mexican Special Forces officer. She's a good manipulator and has a lot of associates. Don't be fooled by her charisma either. We know she served with Alejandro and that they have a... history together. That's why we have decided to call in Vargas once more. Valeria is to be taken alive. We have enough proof to put her behind bars for a lifetime."

Kimberly didn't bother to say anything, she just kept quiet and listened. She couldn't say she was thrilled to hear that they were meeting with Alejandro again, given that she felt that he didn't like her. She didn't mind him, but she felt that he could keep some of his opinions to himself. Having been accused of being a traitor had really made her doubt him. His anger was also from another world, but Kimberly knew she could get fired up easy too.

-"The plan goes as follows," John said, taking the word from Shepherd.
-"We all will push through their enemy front line. We expect her house and the neighborhood around to be heavily guarded. König will keep overwatch from afar and shoot her if she tries to escape. Not a fatal shot, just aim for her feet. When we've pushed through the front line, we will split up. I, Ghost, Soap, Kyle and Alejandro will enter the house and pin down Valeria. Kimberly and Yuri, you're going to keep watch outside the house. No one is to enter the building. Graves, you'll be standby with your Shadows in case we need backup. We expect them to fight back with all they've got. Any questions?"
