Sunjae:
Hey Jungkook, it's Sunjae, your college friend? Anyway, I heard something concerning and thought you should know. Iseul was at the hospital today with another man. My mom, Dr. Kang, was their doctor. She mentioned that they seemed very close. I'm not sure what's going on, but I thought you should be aware. Call me if you want to talk.Confused and alarmed, Jungkook's mind raced. Who was this other guy? Why was Iseul with him? He glanced at Jimin, who seemed pale and distracted.
"Hyung, Sunjae messaged me.Do you know anything about this?" Jungkook asked, holding up his phone for Jimin to see.
Jimin's eyes widened, and he swallowed hard. "N-no, I don't," he stammered, trying to look anywhere but at Jungkook.
Jungkook's eyes narrowed, suspicion growing. "Are you sure? Because Sunjae said he saw Iseul with another guy. Why would she be with someone else? And why is Yoongi hyung not here right now? Do you know anything about any if this, hyung?"
Jimin's heart raced, his mind a whirlwind of panic. He knew he couldn't lie to Jungkook forever, but the truth was so painful, so destructive. "I... I don't know," he repeated weakly, his voice trembling.
Jungkook's frustration boiled over. "Stop lying to me, Park Jimin!" he shouted, his voice echoing through the hallway.
"Tell me the truth! What happened last night? Why were you so weak when I found you? What did Yoongi and Iseul do?"
Jimin flinched at Jungkook's intensity, tears welling up in his eyes. He wanted to protect Jungkook, to shield him from the brutal reality, but he knew he couldn't keep the secret any longer. He took a deep, shuddering breath.
"Jungkook, last night... Yoongi and Iseul admitted that they've been cheating... they were together," he began, his voice breaking with each word. "They... they betrayed us both. Iseul was crying, and Yoongi... he was so cold, so heartless. I couldn't take it. I argued with them, I broke things... I felt like my world was falling apart."
Jungkook's face went pale as he processed the information. "She was with Yoongi hyung?" he whispered, his voice filled with disbelief and hurt. "How could she do this to me?"
Jungkook's voice grew louder, the rawness of his emotions evident in every word. "Was it all a lie? Was our entire relationship just some kind of sick joke to her? How can someone who claimed to love me just walk away like that? She didn't even have the decency to face me, to explain herself. She just... left."
Jimin watched the anguish on Jungkook's face, feeling the pain like a physical blow. He stepped closer, trying to bridge the growing chasm between them. "Jungkook, Iseul is confused and scared. I don't understand why she did it, but maybe she's dealing with things we don't know about."
Jungkook's eyes flared with anger. "You’re still defending her? After what she did?"
Jimin shook his head, his own frustration rising. "No, I'm not defending her. I'm just trying to make sense of this mess. Maybe there's more to the story."
Jungkook's voice dropped, filled with a cold, hard edge. "You always do this, don't you? Always trying to see the good in people, even when they don't deserve it."
Jimin felt a surge of desperation. "Jungkook, please. I don't want us to fall apart because of them. We've been through so much together."
"This all happened after your engagement celebration," Jungkook muttered, the realization sinking in.
Jimin looked at him, his eyes wide with confusion and a growing sense of dread. "What are you trying to tell me, Jeon Jungkook?"
"We were fine last year," Jungkook shouted, his voice rising with anger. "But when you showed up in our lives again, our relationship crumbled!"
