The sun had barely risen, casting a soft, golden light through the window of Jimin's apartment. The air was still thick with the emotions of the previous night, and the tension lingered like a heavy fog.
Jimin sat on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, his eyes puffy and red from crying. Taehyung and Jin were still there, their presence a comforting reminder that he wasn't alone.
Jin handed Jimin a steaming cup of tea. "Drink this. It'll help," he said gently, sitting down beside him. Taehyung was pacing the room, his anger from the night before simmering just below the surface.
Jimin took the cup with trembling hands, sipping it slowly. "Thank you," he whispered, his voice hoarse. The warmth of the tea was soothing, but it did little to ease the ache in his heart.
Taehyung finally stopped pacing and sat down across from Jimin, his expression intense. "Jimin, we need to talk about what happened. About Jungkook. What are you going to do?"
Jimin shook his head, tears welling up in his eyes again. "I don't know, Tae. I don't know how to fix this. Everything is such a mess."
Jin placed a reassuring hand on Jimin's shoulder. "Focus on yourself first, Jimin"
Jimin nodded, grateful for their support, but he couldn't shake the overwhelming feeling of despair. "I just feel so lost. I care for him so much, and now it feels like I've lost him forever."
Taehyung leaned forward, "Jimin, you haven't lost him. He's hurting right now, just like you. But that doesn't mean it's over. You need to give him time to process everything."
Before Jimin could respond, there was another knock on the door. Taehyung and Jin exchanged a glance, and Jin stood up to answer it. When he opened the door, Jung Hoseok stood there, his expression filled with concern.
"Hoseok," Jin greeted him, stepping aside to let him in.
Hoseok entered the apartment, his eyes immediately finding Jimin. "Jimin, how are you holding up?" he asked softly, walking over to him.
Jimin managed a weak smile. "I've been better," he admitted, his voice trembling. "But I'm glad you're here."
Hoseok sat down next to him, his presence radiating warmth and support. "I heard about what happened from Taehyung. He sent me your address. I'm so sorry, Jimin. But you need to know that Jungkook is hurting too. He cares about you a lot."
Jimin met Hoseok in Iseul and Jungkook's wedding reception. He was like a ball of sunshine back then, well he looked like it. After all, his face was red because of the alcohol that night.
Jimin's eyes filled with tears again. "I don't know if he can forgive me. I kept the truth from him, and now he probably hates me."
Hoseok shook his head. "Jungkook doesn't hate you, Jimin. He's confused and hurt, but he doesn't hate you. He needs time to process everything, just like you do."
Jin nodded in agreement. "Hoseok is right. This is a difficult situation, but it's not hopeless. You need to take care of yourself and give Jungkook the space he needs. In time, things will become clearer, you can't force him or yourself to heal quicker."
Jimin took a deep breath, trying to steady his emotions. "I don't know how to face him after everything that's happened. I don't even know what to say."
Taehyung leaned forward, his expression serious. "Just be honest with him. Tell him how you feel. He deserves to know the truth, and so do you."
Jimin nodded slowly, the weight of their words sinking in. "You're right. I need to be honest with him, no matter how hard it is."
