Jungkook sat on his bed, the room dimly lit by the afternoon sun streaming through the blinds. The events of the past few days played over and over in his mind like a broken record. He felt lost and overwhelmed, but amidst the chaos, memories of Jimin began to surface—memories that he had buried deep within his heart.
Flashback
Iseul was always so careless. Jungkook remembered one particular night at a party during their sophomore year. Iseul was laughing with her friends, her voice loud and cutting.
"You're always so serious, Jungkook," she teased, not realizing, or perhaps not caring how her words stung.
Jungkook's smile faltered, but Jimin was there, always nearby. After the party, he found Jungkook sitting on a bench outside the library, his head in his hands.
"Hey," Jimin said softly, sitting down next to him. "What's wrong?"
Jungkook lifted his head, tears glistening in his eyes. "Iseul... she said I'm no fun."
Jimin's heart ached for his best friend. He wrapped an arm around Jungkook's shoulders, pulling him into a comforting hug. "I'm so sorry, Kook. I know it hurts. But maybe she didn't mean it that way. She might have just been joking, you know?"

Iseul often made promises she didn't keep. Jungkook recalled a time when she had promised to join him for a study session before finals. He waited for hours in the library, his books spread out across the table, but she never showed up. Instead, she went out with her friends.
Jimin found him there, alone and dejected, long after most students had left. "Jungkook, what are you doing here so late?" Jimin asked, concern etched on his face.
Jungkook sighed, his voice barely audible. "Iseul ditched me. Again."
Jimin sat down across from him, his eyes filled with understanding. "I'm sorry, Jungkook. Maybe something came up last minute with her friends. You know how things can be. She probably didn't mean to forget about your plans."
---
Iseul didn't just break promises, she'd flirt with other guys right in front of Jungkook. One painful memory stood out. They were at a campus event, and Iseul was laughing and touching another guy's arm. Jungkook stood there, trying to smile but feeling like an outsider in his own relationship.
Jimin noticed Jungkook's discomfort and stepped in. "Jungkook, let's get some air," he suggested, steering him away from the scene.
Outside, Jungkook couldn't hold back his frustration. "Why does she do that, hyung? Why does she flirt with other guys when she's with me?"
Jimin's voice was filled with frustration and sadness. "I don't know, Jungkook. Maybe she just likes to be friendly. It doesn't necessarily mean anything. She's probably just being sociable."
---
Jungkook's thoughts drifted to another late night during their college days. It was 2 AM when he called Jimin, his voice choked with emotion. "Jimin, I don't know what to do. Iseul... she said she needed space."
