Jungkook walked back into his workplace, feeling a mix of frustration and concern. The surprise visit to Jimin's workplace had not gone as planned.
He couldn't shake the uneasy feeling that something was wrong. As he entered the lobby, Hoseok approached him, a curious expression on his face.
"Hey, Jungkook," Hoseok called out, waving him over. "Where did you go?"
Jungkook sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I went to Jimin hyung's workplace. I wanted to surprise him, but he wasn't there. Taehyung said he called in sick, but Jimin seemed fine this morning. It's weird."
Hoseok's brow furrowed in concern. "That doesn't sound like Jimin. Did you try calling him?"
Jungkook nodded. "Yeah, I did. He said he had some personal matters to take care of. But I can't help but feel like there's more to it."
Hoseok placed a reassuring hand on Jungkook's shoulder. "Let's go to your studio. We can talk more there and figure this out."
Jungkook nodded, grateful for Hoseok's company. Together, they made their way to Jungkook's studio. The familiar surroundings of the studio provided a feeling of comfort, but the younger's mind was still racing with worry.
As they entered the studio, Hoseok closed the door behind them, ensuring they had some privacy. Jungkook sat down on the edge of a couch, his thoughts still on Jimin.
"Do you think Jimin might have gone to see Iseul?" Hoseok asked, breaking the silence.
Jungkook looked up, his eyes troubled. "It's possible. Last night, he did ask about where Iseul was staying. I thought it was just a random question, but now I'm not so sure."
Hoseok nodded thoughtfully. "If he did, he's probably confronting her. But why wouldn't he tell you?"
Jungkook shook his head, frustration evident in his voice. "I don't know. Maybe he didn't want to worry me. But this secrecy... he promised me not to do it again."
Hoseok sat down beside Jungkook, trying to piece everything together. "If Jimin's confronting Iseul, it could get messy. Iseul has a way of twisting things to her advantage. You know that."
Jungkook's jaw tightened. "Yeah, I know. But I trust hyung. He can handle himself."
Hoseok leaned back, crossing his arms. "Iseul’s unpredictable, though. She might try to manipulate the situation. We need to be prepared for anything."
Jungkook nodded, his determination growing. "You're right. We need to be ready for whatever happens next. But first, we have to find out where Jimin hyung is and make sure he's okay."
Hoseok agreed, pulling out his phone. "Let's start by calling him again. Maybe he'll give us more information this time."
Jungkook watched as Hoseok dialed Jimin's number, his anxiety mounting with each passing second. The phone rang several times before Jimin's voice came through.
"Hey, Hoseok hyung" Jimin's voice sounded calm but guarded.
"Hi Jimin. Jungkook and I are worried about you. Where are you?" Hoseok asked directly.
There was a brief pause before Jimin replied, "I'm fine, really. I just needed to handle some personal matters as I've said before to him."
Hoseok pressed on. "Jimin, we just want to make sure you're safe. Can you at least tell us where you are?"
Jimin's voice softened slightly. "I'm at the park, clearing my head. Don't worry about me. I'll see Jungkook later at my apartment."
Hoseok glanced at Jungkook, who was listening intently. "Alright, Jimin. Just promise you'll keep in touch. We're here if you need us."
"I will," Jimin assured. "Thanks, hyung."
The call ended, and Hoseok looked at Jungkook. "He's at the park, but he still seems hesitant to share more."
Jungkook's worry didn't diminish, but he tried to stay calm. "At least we know he's safe for now. We'll just have to wait and see what happens next."
Hoseok nodded. "In the meantime, focus on your work. It'll help keep your mind occupied."
Jungkook agreed, trying to push his concerns aside for the moment. As the younger began to work, the studio filled with the sounds of music and creativity. But in the back of his mind, Jungkook couldn't shake the feeling that something huge was about to unfold.
"Jungkook," Hoseok began, setting his pen down, "there's something else that's been bothering me."
Jungkook looked up, sensing the seriousness in Hoseok's tone. "What is it, hyung?"
"It's about my cousin, Namjoon," Hoseok said, leaning forward. "He's been acting really strange lately. Stressed, constantly distracted. He's not like himself at all."
"Acting strange?", Jungkook asked, eyebrows raised.
"Yeah," Hoseok confirmed. "He's usually so composed and chill, but recently, he's been a mess. I can't figure out what's going on with him."
Jungkook frowned, connecting the dots. "You think it has something to do with Iseul?"
Hoseok shrugged. "I don't know. It's possible. I mean, Namjoon and Iseul had a professional relationship, but who knows what else could have happened. He's been avoiding my calls, and when we do talk, he's evasive."
Jungkook leaned back in his chair, deep in thought. "Maybe he's hiding something. Or maybe Iseul did something that put him in a difficult position."
Hoseok sighed. "I just want to help him, but I can't if he keeps shutting me out."
"Have you tried talking to him in person?" Jungkook suggested. "Sometimes it's harder to avoid the truth face to face."
"I've thought about it," Hoseok admitted. "But with everything going on, I haven't had the chance yet. And now with Jimin missing work and all this drama with Iseul, I'm worried it might be connected."
Jungkook nodded, understanding Hoseok's concern. "We should definitely try to get to the bottom of this. If Namjoon's behavior is related to Iseul, it could explain a lot."
Hoseok agreed. "I'll try to meet with him in person. Maybe I can get him to open up."
"Good idea," Jungkook said, offering a reassuring smile. "And in the meantime, let's keep an eye on Jimin. If he needs us, we have to be there for him."
"Absolutely," Hoseok said, his determination renewed. "We'll get through this together."
They returned to their work, but the underlying tension remained. Hoseok couldn't shake the worry for his cousin, and Jungkook's thoughts kept drifting back to Jimin.
As they continued working, Jungkook's phone buzzed with a new message. He glanced at the screen, hoping it was Jimin. To his disappointment, it was an email notification. He sighed, pushing the phone aside.
Back at the hotel, Yoongi was still trying to make sense of everything when his phone buzzed with a new message. He glanced at the screen and saw it was from Namjoon, Iseul's former boss and Hoseok's cousin. The message was cryptic: "We need to talk. It's urgent."
Yoongi frowned, his sense of unease growing. He quickly typed a reply: "About what?"
The response came almost immediately: "Not over the phone. Meet me at my office tomorrow."
