That late night, a soft knock on the door broke through his haze. "Jimin?" It was Taehyung, his voice filled with worry. "Are you in there?"
Jimin didn't respond, but Taehyung let himself in, his eyes widening at the sight of Jimin on the floor, surrounded by broken picture frames and shattered memories. "Oh, Jimin," he murmured, rushing to his friend's side. "What happened?"
Jin followed closely behind, his expression equally concerned. "We were worried sick when you didn't answer our calls."
Jimin looked up at them, his eyes red and swollen from crying. "It's over," he choked out. "Everything's over."
Taehyung and Jin exchanged a worried glance. "Tell us what happened," Taehyung urged gently, helping Jimin up and leading him to the couch.
Through gasps and sobs, Jimin told them everything—the betrayal, the argument, the confession of his love for Jungkook. Taehyung's face darkened with anger, while Jin's eyes filled with sympathy and sadness.
"That bastard," Taehyung muttered. "I can't believe Yoongi would do this to you."
"And Iseul," Jin added. "How could she betray both you and Jungkook like that?"
Jimin shook his head, tears still streaming down his face. "I don't know. I just... I don't know."
Jimin wiped his eyes, his gaze shifting between Taehyung and Jin. "How did you know I was here? Who told you?"
Taehyung hesitated for a moment, then sighed. "Jimin, there's something you should know. I'm dating Jung Hoseok. He's one of Jungkook's closest co-workers."
Jimin's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Jung Hoseok? I didn't know that."
Taehyung nodded, offering a small, nervous smile. "Yeah, it's pretty new. Anyway, after Jungkook left your apartment earlier, he called Hoseok. They met up, and Jungkook told him everything that happened."
Jimin felt a pang in his chest at the thought of Jungkook confiding in someone else, but he kept listening.
"Hoseok called me right away," Taehyung continued. "He was really worried about both you and Jungkook. So I called Jin, and we came here as fast as we could."
Jin nodded, his expression kind but serious. "We couldn't just leave you alone, Jimin. We know you're going through a lot."
Jimin's eyes filled with tears again. "So, Jungkook... he still cares?"
Taehyung squeezed Jimin's shoulder gently. "Of course he does, Jimin. If he didn't, Hoseok wouldn't have known, and we wouldn't be here. Jungkook just needs time to process everything. He's hurt and confused, but that doesn't mean he doesn't care about you."
Jimin swallowed hard, trying to hold back his tears. "I just don't know how to fix this. Everything is such a mess."
Jin sat down next to Jimin, his voice steady and reassuring. "One step at a time, Jimin. We'll help you figure it out. You have us, and you have Jungkook, even if things are tough right now. We'll get through this together."
Taehyung nodded, his eyes filled with determination. "You have a lot of people who love you, Jimin. We're here for you. We'll help you heal and find a way forward."
Jimin took a deep, shaky breath, feeling a flicker of hope. "Thank you," he whispered. "I don't know what I'd do without you guys."
Jin and Taehyung exchanged a reassuring smile. "You're not going to find out," Jin said softly. "Because we're not going anywhere."
Flashback
In a quiet peaceful park on the other side of town, Jungkook sat across from Hoseok, his face pale and drawn. His eyes were red-rimmed, and his hands trembled as he held a cup of coffee, untouched and growing cold. Hoseok watched him with a mixture of concern and compassion, waiting for him to speak.
