larry
i sat cross legged on sals bedroom floor, with a can of beer and a joint in my hand. the only one who hadn't been smoking or drinking was travis, of course. he was sat beside me, constantly biting his nails and still holding the flowers i had given him earlier. i still hadn't changed out of my wet clothes so i wasn't exactly comfortable, but who cares. i offered travis a joint a lot of times, but every time he turned it away, which was probably a good sign since he had asthma and probably didn't want to die on the spot after taking one for the first time. i was trying to finish my beer as quickly as possible to start this spin the bottle shit but beer isn't the kind of drink you can just down in my opinion. it tastes disgusting, and i only drink it to get drunk.
"okay. done."
ashley put the empty bottle on the floor in the middle of us, and the rest of us shifted into a circle while travis sat still in confusion.

sal reached forward, spinning the bottle first. it spun around in a circle, making a loud scraping noise to disrupt the silence. it landed on todd first.
"todd.. you should.. go drink eggs."
todd stared blankly at sal, furrowing his eyebrows.
"i'm sorry what?"
"go drink eggs."
he sighed and stood up, walking to the kitchen. he grabbed an egg out of the fridge and cracked it into a glass.
"i said eggs not an egg."
he groaned and cracked another one into the glass.
"i hate you so much sally face."
he held the glass to his mouth, drinking it before gagging into the sink and spitting it out. after he put the glass in the sink he came back, pale and obvious not feeling great.
"sorry todd."

travis
todd spun the bottle against the floor, landing on ashley.
"okay ash.. uh.. chug this."
she handed her a bottle of vodka.
"todd i'll die. that's too strong to drink the whole bottle."
he reached behind him and handed her a bottle of beer. she gagged before opening the bottle and drank atleast half before giving up.
"god that's disgusting! it tastes like piss!"
travis pointed at the bottle on the floor that was pointing at her.
"didn't you chug that whole bottle earlier?"
she folded her arms.
"maybe. but i can't drink too much beer it's so gross!"
she handed the bottle to sal who finished it in a few seconds. he had to shove the bottle under his mask instead of taking it off. every time he took a swig of it i could see a little bit of his face.

"can we get to the kissing bit this is so boring!" ashley shouted as she lent down to spin the bottle, realising larry had left and leaning back again. larry had most likely left the room to change as he was still wearing the same clothes as earlier. as i expected he came back a few seconds later, wearing new clothes and holding a box, and more alcohol. larry hadn't heard ashley so he had no idea what was happening next.

when larry was back, ashley lent forward once more and spun the bottle, landing on sal once more.
"okay sal.. uhh.. kiss larry."
he shrugged, kneeling over the bottle and kissing his cheek, lifting up his mask in the process.
"maybe we should do truth or dare instead. this is a bit you know.. boring."
larry agreed and sat back down.
"just one more spin."
sal scoffed and spun it, landing on me.
"ooh travissss.. hmm.. uhh.. kiss larry."
i wasn't expecting that. i wasn't upset or disgusted but i didn't know how to feel. i turned to larry, holding my hand up to his face and cupping it.
"do it!"
i leaned in, pecking him on the bridge of his nose, above his scar. it was a weird place, but it still counted. i had never actually kissed anyone before, so i suppose that counted as my first.

everytime i glanced at larry from the corner of my eyes he still looked bright red, and he stayed smiling the whole time. i wasn't paying attention until someone said my name.
"truth or dare travis?"
i bit my lip.
"truth."
todd hummed to himself and spoke quickly after.
"do you like like larry?"
i didn't know what he meant by 'like like' so i threw myself under the bus.
"well of course i like him. he's my friend. i like all of you."
he sighed, folding his arms.
"i don't think he knows what i mean."
larry spoke quickly after.
"he's asking if you love me."
he sounded almost upset when he spoke, his voice cracking at the word "love". i figured it would make larry happier if i said i did. i knew he was upset about a subject like that.
"of course i do. i love all of you. you're my friends. i love you all a lot."
it put a smile on larry's face, and that's all i cared about.

"honestly, this is boring as hell. truth or dare went out years ago. let's just watch something."
everyone agreed with ashley and stood up, so i did too. i didn't know where we were going, but i followed anyway.
"have you ever smoked before travis?"
i shook my head.
"no. i have asthma."
i didn't even know who asked the question but it didn't matter as it would've been the same reply anyway.
"hm.. gotten drunk?
"nope."
everyone sat down on the couch all slotting perfectly together with no space for me. i stood still beside the couch, sitting on the floor awkwardly and i stared up at everyone else, also trying to avoid everyone's gaze.
"travis come here."
larry stood up, letting me sit when he was sat.  "are you sure? i don't want you to sit on the floor."
"i won't. but i don't think you'll be happy about my seating choice."
he sat in between my legs, turning to face me. my face turned bright red and i looked down at his chubby body slotted in between my thighs. out of nowhere i put my hands awkwardly on his waist before taking them off after realising what i had done. luckily nobody but us saw.

i could still see the tv, since me and larry had a little height difference. it seemed that every few seconds someone turned to stare at us, when nobody but us screamed at the scenes. the first movie we watched was the ring, and i had never seen anything like it. i almost pissed myself at some of the scenes. i'm pretty sure everyone had already seen it before but only put it on for the sake of me. as one of the jumpscares came on screen, i grabbed onto larry out of impulse. he didn't mind but that scared him more than the movie. when the movie was just about over, todd had fallen asleep, and ashley was on the verge of collapsing because she was so drunk. not to mention larry was high out of his shit.

ashley crawled onto sals bed, about to throw up everywhere which made me stay a very fair distance away from her. fortunately i was sleeping on the other room beside larry, and i had to share a blanket with him. i knew that they did that on purpose and sal had more blankets, i guess they just wanted to push me closer to larry. i'm the end, todd went back to his apartment which wasn't far anyway. larry was high for a long time, tossing, turning, groaning and whining for a few hours. i wasn't tired at all, so i stayed awake for ages. larry wasn't either. he lay on his back, staring at the ceiling and probably downing 6 bottles of water. we exchanged a few words, but after that we didn't say anything until larry miraculously started crying.

"are you okay?"
he pressed his head into his hands, trying to get rid of the tears.
"yeah yeah i'm fine.. sorry this happens almost every night."
"what's wrong? are you okay?"
he turned onto his side, facing me.
"i have no idea. honestly i cry all the time."
he rolled back over to face the ceiling again, fiddling with his hair.
"but there has to be a reason. can you please just tell me?"
he put down the bottle he was about to drink from and he sat up, leaning his back against the wall.
"okay. fine."
