It was a nice night too, if it weren't for the fact that it went too fast.
Mateo enjoyed every bit of it. He even managed to get the man to swim a little once the sun went down. His skin glistened in the moonlight. The pale man was meant for it, and Mateo couldn't help but be entranced by it.
He was having fun. Mateo hadn't seen him have so much fun since that night they were trying to outdrink each other. It was almost like that, only without the smell of alcohol. Mateo was surprised to see him like that. It made him want to see that more often. He would love more of his company.
Nothing good seemed to last in his life. Mateo hated when the man finally left. He was hoping that he could spend the night at least. They didn't have to do anything. He just wanted to be able to have someone over for the night. He had lived by himself plenty, but it still felt lonely every once in a while.
A whole other day passed before he could see him again. Mateo was glad that the man was texting him this time. There were still many times that he would wait for ages to reply to Mateo, but it was better than not answering his phone at all.
He didn't know what switch was flipped, but it was different being with him now. Melvin was softer when he wasn't working. He seemed calm, even sweet at some points. When they weren't talking about deep subjects, or their childhoods, Melvin really had some great stories. Mateo couldn't believe some of them were even real.
Getting to know even a little bit about him was like a taste of something you craved, while never getting enough to satisfy. All it did was make him want this man more. He didn't care whether it was sexual or just his presence. He just wanted to know more about him. He wanted to spend more nights rubbing his hands against his chest too. Mateo had only gotten to do that in his office, but he loved the touch of that soft skin.
This happened every time he was away from the man. Mateo didn't understand why he was this way, but it had happened ever since he had first been humiliated in one of those private rooms. Instead of scaring him, it just made him more curious about this man he didn't think much about at first.
Mateo found himself driving over to that night club again. Melvin had messaged him, letting him know that he was going to be too busy to check his phone when he started work. It was fine. He knew how that worked. He had a job before. There were always times when you were too busy to check on your phone.
But he wanted something to do. And he wanted to know just what he was busy with. Was it those rooms? Was he doing what he did with Mateo to other people? Mateo shouldn't be bothered by that, but it just seemed like everything they had done was so personal, he couldn't imagine him doing that to someone else.
No. Because he always told Mateo that he was the only one that he could show his strength to in those rooms. There was no way that they could be that intense for other people.
Still, Mateo was bored. It wasn't like he had much to do. Maybe he could convince him to hang out in his office or something.
Depending on how busy the man was, he guessed.
Neon Underground was busier than he had seen in a while. There were so many people just waiting to get inside. Mateo was glad that it went by fast at least. The workers were really good at their jobs. Even the inside, though packed, was going by smoothly. Everyone there was getting just what they wanted, with very little wait. The bartenders were working their asses off to make drinks for everyone.
Mateo frowned when he noticed that Melvin wasn't over there. If he wasn't over there, then he probably was busy in those private rooms.
He was going to find a small spot in the back of the club and wait until he saw him when he caught a glimpse of familiar black leather shimmering in the dim lights of the club. Melvin was dressed up that night, talking to a girl who was dressed in all leather too. She was listening to him intently as he explained something. Her long brown hair was in a high ponytail. It swayed with her every nod.
She looked gorgeous, which really made Mateo wonder. Was she going to be the person who he entertained in those rooms? He wasn't even sure if Melvin liked women, but he knew that he would still go into a room with her if she was paying.
Mateo probably should have thought about this more, but he didn't. Instead, he let his legs take him all the way to the man, past the booth where the lady was desperately trying to stop him. His gaze wasn't locked on anyone other than the man who was calmly speaking to this woman. He wanted to know what was going on. He wanted...
He wanted him.
"Hey, Mel," Mateo grabbed his attention, trying to make himself look bothered by something. "I have to tell you something."
"You aren't going to fool me like that again," Those dark eyes caught onto his act immediately. "You should learn to respect my employees. And my rules. Otherwise, I will have to ban you."
"I just wanted to ask you something," Mateo frowned. Right when they were in this building together, it was just like old times. Nothing changed here. Other than that sly smile that formed on those pale lips.
"I told you I was busy," Melvin told him. "You aren't going to be scheduling a room tonight."
"Why not?" He folded his arms. There was something about that smile that softened his resolve.
"Because they're all booked," Melvin told him. "And I'm training a new worker. So, you're going to have to wait for your attention, Pretty Boy."
"Training?" Well, that made sense at least. The woman was dressed in a similar fashion to Melvin. He wondered if there was a uniform for this or not. Melvin rarely wore leather, so he doubted it. The fact he was right then made him more upset.
Why did he wear them for training this girl and yet he never did with him?
"Yes," Melvin said. "Now, unless you would like to be used as a test subject for training, I suggest you come back another time and we'll schedule a room for you."
He guessed it made sense. Mateo couldn't get a room every time he went to that club. It was a good thing that he was getting so much business. He should be happy for him.
But he wasn't.
He wanted to be the man's attention again. He missed the closeness of it all. It was making him stressed all over again.
"I could probably be used for training," Mateo folded his arms. "It's not like you even hit that hard, anyway. I'm sure it can't be that bad."
It was addicting to see just how easy it was to piss this man off. Mateo could see the flash of anger in those eyes. That, along with his hand balling into fists for a second, and he knew that he had him hooked. He liked putting Mateo in his place, and it turned Mateo on more than any porn he had ever watched.
"Fine," Melvin said, his voice low and threatening as he grabbed Mateo's chin. "I suppose you'll make a great test subject." Then he raised his chin to look into his eyes again. "Are you going to be good while I teach her the ropes?"
He couldn't help but get lost in those eyes for a moment. They still looked at him like he was just food for him. There wasn't a smile needed to make him seem predatory. Just one look, and it felt like he had been trapped by the man without so much as a grab of his wrist.
Mateo couldn't say anything. Instead, he just nodded as much as that grip on his chin would let him. It wasn't until then that he saw that amazing smile form on the man's face.
"Good boy," he whispered to him before letting him go. "Now, come. I don't have all night."
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" The girl asked, seeming a little awkward at his sudden burst through the halls of the private rooms.
"It's going to be a great idea," Melvin assured her. "This might be the best way for you to show me what you already know. Then we'll see what you need to work on."
Mateo couldn't believe he let himself get dragged into this. He really didn't know what he was thinking. He just didn't want to spend another night alone, even if it meant being the person that got tested on by a new worker. He didn't want her to whip him. There was only one person he wanted to do that with.
But having him watch might be an interesting twist.
