"This isn't funny, you know!" Cameron frowned

Will and Benny giggled as they quickly made their way down the hallway. It had been a boring few days, with nothing much to do but wait. Benny was the one who had the idea to shake things up a bit this time, and Will couldn't help but go along with it.

"How long do you think we can keep this up?" Benny asked, slipping into another lengthy corridor.

"Oh, a lot longer, definitely," Will smiled. They had already been at this for a while, although he couldn't say the specifics. It was easy to forget about time when you weren't in the mortal world. Even then, Will found himself losing track of it when he was down there. It was too easy to get caught up in all the flashing lights and fun conversations. Will wished that there had been more when he was still mortal.

"Cameron," Obasi's voice bounced through the halls. "Did you find them yet?"

"No," Cameron let out a sigh. "I thought this was a fun little game at first, but now it's starting to tick me off."

They had been looking for the two cupids for what felt like ages at this point. Cameron was starting to get annoyed, and a little anxious. As much as they had started to enjoy the company of the two cupids, they were starting to contemplate that friendship the longer this went on.

"Do you have it locked?" Obasi asked, walking with the cupid as they scoured the building for the two pranksters. He knew that this wasn't uncommon for cupids to do to each other, and it wouldn't be that big of a problem typically. They could just ignore them until they came back and then gotten the item back. That was how Obasi had dealt with Will in the past when he was trying to mess with him.

The only issue this time is that both him and Benny decided to take Cameron's phone.

"Yeah," Cameron answered. "I don't think it's going to be easy for them to get into. But I really want to check it." They had a sneaking suspicion that something was happening involving their phone. They hadn't had a chance to check the television, but it just always seemed to be whenever they weren't paying attention to their phone that people tried to call him.

Cameron had been one of the lucky few in the department who had gotten the approval to have a phone, and they weren't going to mess that up just because some cupids decided to steal it from them.

"I'm so glad it stopped ringing," Benny whispered to Will. Cameron and Obasi had gotten really close to their new hiding spot, which made this all the more exciting. "This would be ten times harder if it was."

"We're going to have to make it up to them by the end of this," Will chuckled, his caramel eyes twinkling with mischief. "I know! What if we get them to chase us down to the mortal world and we all meet up to get some food?"

"You mean coffee, don't you?" Benny gave a playful nudge to his friend. Will always talked about the mortal world. It was getting worse with every mission they had. The longer they stayed in Amor, the more attached he seemed to be with it. Benny couldn't blame him, though. It was a beautiful city, even if it was rather small.

"Maybe a bit of both," Will winked. Then he put a finger to his lips to end their conversations before the other two cupids could get close enough to hear them.

"No, they don't usually do this," Obasi answered Cameron, shaking his head. "Usually, if you left them alone in a room, you'd wind up coming back to them doing something weird. Justin told me one time he walked in and Will had dressed like a woman to teach Benny how to dance."

"Hmm," Cameron put a hand on their chin. "That seems like fun, actually. I would much rather be taught how to dance right now than chasing them down to get my phone."
