He didn't know why Melvin was so pissed. Mateo hadn't seen him this way, to be honest. Even in the beginning, Melvin always had an aloof expression; controlled. It was like he was detached from his work with Mateo. Now it was clear to see that something was bothering him other than Mateo annoying him. He was originally following him down that hall to see if he could help calm him down. Melvin had helped him a lot lately. He could return the favor.
Okay, he might have missed him a little too much. Melvin clearly told him that he needed space, and by the force of that hand on his neck, Mateo knew he was serious.
But damn did that make him feel so alive. The past few days had been a mess. He still felt loss, not knowing where life was going to lead him next. As soon as that hand blocked his airways, though, and those dark blue eyes pierced through his heart, every one of those questions about life disintegrated. All that mattered was seeing where a night with the man with anger radiating off from him was going to go.
He definitely had problems. No normal person would get excited at the sight of someone as pissed as Melvin was. Even Alex seemed a bit scared when he told her to stop asking him questions. He wished he knew what pissed him off, but he was a little distracted by the way his body lit up at the man's touch. The thought of being this man's punching bag for his own frustrations was more alluring than a diamond's glow when lit up.
The safe word he made up on the spot. He wasn't going to spoil an opportunity like this. He had been dying to see just how much the man had been holding back. The previous sessions with him had been controlled with every action. Mateo had only gotten a taste of when there was no control in the man. And he wanted more. He wanted to see just how much he had been holding back.
As soon as he was thrown into the office, Mateo heard the click of the door being locked. His heart raced as he understood the danger he was in. He didn't know just how strong the man was. This could turn out very bad for him.
And yet, he would get bruised and beat over and over again by this god of a man.
Instead of Melvin going straight for him again, he calmly walked towards a metal locker that was behind his desk, unlocking it casually.
"Take your clothes off," he told him calmly. His voice sounded casual, which through him off guard. But there was still a hint of tension in it. Just enough for him to be so curious as to what was going to happen next.
"All of them?" Mateo asked. It was a dumb question, but Melvin had never asked to see him naked before. He wasn't self-conscious or anything, just a bit thrown off by this conversation.
Was this normal in this culture?
"Yes," Melvin answered. He rummaged through the locker, searching for something that Mateo wished he knew about.
"And if I don't?" he asked. He didn't know why. It was too natural for him to give the dark natured man a hard time.
"You should have thought of that before you followed me here," Melvin said. The locker closed as he walked up to him again, his gaze serious and intense. It burned through his soul. "Are you changing your mind?"
"No," he shrugged, smirking. "I just thought you were going to stop taking it so easy on me."
It was like switching a light. All it took was those few words and that intensity manifested. Mateo was smacked hard in the face, so hard that his whole body turned. His vision was blurry, and he wasn't given a chance to blink it back to clarity. As soon as his back was towards the man, a silky cloth was wrapped around his throat, the man twisting it to keep Mateo from resisting. That same cloth was used to tie his hands in the back as Mateo was slammed into the desk.
