He swore, this man never slept. Melvin could barely go a whole day without him trying to call him. It was probably going to get worse after their last night together. That was too close for his own comfort. It would have been better if he just used a whip on him at first. Of course, Melvin was too caught up in the night to truly assess the situation.

The one thing he always taught his workers in the private rooms was to never make things physical. Never get to the point where you allow them to touch you or do anything similar. That's when things started to get messy.

His mistake was the moment he kissed him that night. That's what opened the floodgates for everything else.

"Anton," he came into the café. "I need a drink."

"Did you even sleep?" his cousin asked. "You don't even look like you're watching where you're going."

"I'm hoping I'll trip on something that'll kill me," he said, pulling out his wallet. "Can I get something sugary as well?" He was sure that Mateo liked the sugary drinks. He just seemed like that kind of guy.

"Are you okay, Mel?" Anton asked. "You're starting to worry me."

"I'm just tired, Anton," he said, rubbing his face some more. "And I don't have makeup on today. That could be why I look worse."

"You don't look bad because you don't have makeup on," he told him. "And why do you want a second drink? Do you have a date or something?"

"Something," he told him. "It's complicated."

That was honestly just the easiest way to get him to stop asking him about it. Most of the time he took it as a sign to not go any further, because that typically opened the conversation to other aspects of Melvin's sex life that made him uncomfortable.

"Have you guys had sex?" Anton asked, making the drinks.

"That depends." He sat down on the stool by the counter.

"Conventionally?"

"No," he answered, trying not to think about the last night he shared with him. "It was fun, though."

"I don't think I've seen you like this about someone," Anton looked curiously towards him. "What's special about this one?"

"Absolutely nothing," Melvin shrugged. "That's why it's not a date."

"It sure seems like one," his cousin sighed, setting one of the drinks down while he made the other. "But whatever you say."

"How about you?" he asked, sipping on the drink. This was the only place that could make it strong enough to wake him up. It needed to have an award just for that alone. "Were you able to get everything figured out with your boyfriend's guilty conscious?"

"You know," Anton started. "It's really weird, but Lucas was able to call him and get it sorted out."

"Oh really?" That was shocking. Melvin was really surprised with that. Especially with how pissed the man seemed when he overheard their conversation. "That was fast."

"Yeah, I know," Anton continued. "Apparently, he just wanted to stop thinking about it and put it all behind him. So now they're acquaintances or something silly like that."

"How adorable," Melvin smiled. "A true story of friendships. You could put it in a kid's book."

"Shut up," he shook his head. "You want to know the weirdest part of it all?"

"What?"

"He told Lucas to tell me that I shouldn't worry about him flirting with me or anything like that," Anton's brown eyes glanced over to him for a moment. "I thought the wording was really strange."
