He looked so adorable when he was like this. That pretty face had been angrily insulting him almost every night since he brought him to the private rooms the first time. He would consider it aggressive behavior, except there wasn't a single way the pretty boy could ever be seen as aggressive in Melvin's eyes. If anything, he was a yapping Chihuahua at worst. Nothing but a little ankle biter when he was mad. Melvin loved all dogs.
Just not this one.
He still hated Mateo. The fact that he hurt his close cousin was never going to be forgotten. Melvin always held grudges. He was glad to be the target for this narcissist. As long as it kept him from Anton, he would gladly take this man's childish anger.
He was also very fun to humiliate.
"What happened to it never happening again?" Mateo asked. He had stayed quiet so long while Melvin maintained eye contact. The silence of his voice was like music to his ears. No matter how loud the club was that night, it almost felt like they were in their own private room.
"I didn't exactly expect you to come back so adamantly," Melvin smirked. "Normally, I scare people off quite easily. But for you, I suppose I can make an exception."
"What makes you think I'd even want that again?" Those pretty green eyes sharpened with anger again. He acted like such a victim. It was funny considering all the pain he inflicted on others. Melvin was sure the man's exes would thoroughly enjoy what he did to him.
"Besides the obvious?" Melvin looked him up and down. Nothing made him feel better than making toxic men feel as uncomfortable as possible. It was extremely satisfying. "This time, though, it's going to cost you. I don't exactly offer my rooms and services free of charge. Not unless it's a special occasion."
As much as it gave him pleasure to inflict pain on the ones who break his family's hearts, he wasn't going to lose money on him. This was his busiest nights, after all.
And it seemed to upset the man more this way.
"How much?"
"A hundred an hour," he answered.
"A hundred dollars?!" Mateo looked dumbfounded. "Why the hell would I pay you a hundred dollars for one hour?!"
"Have you ever gotten a private room in a strip club?" He raised a brow. "I'd say I'm making a generous offer."
"Well, yeah," he said. "But I'm not paying for someone to dance on my lap."
"You're paying for a service," Melvin stopped him before he dug himself deeper. "From a professional. With all tools included. Everything's cleaned thoroughly after every session, and we've had nothing but good reviews." He paused a moment to let it sink in. "But it's just an offer." He couldn't help but smirk again. "It's not like I'm the one asking for it."
"Fine," Mateo grabbed his wallet, pulling out the cash. "Let's just get this over with already."
"Oh, I'd love to," He took the money and put it in the register. "Tomorrow night."
"What?" The man looked shocked again. "What do you mean tomorrow night? I just paid for an hour!"
"Without asking about our availability too," He held back a chuckle. "Someone with your knowledge of businesses should know better."
"You're telling me that you have no rooms available right now?!"
"Tonight is our busiest for the private rooms," he answered. "I told you that we had good reviews." They were also the only night club that offered private rooms like these in the area. Which made the demand extremely high. He liked to keep it reasonable in price at least. He didn't want to drive away the young adults who were just realizing what they liked, after all. Everyone deserved some room for exploration.
