Okay, he could see why Melvin would be mad about him getting on his work laptop. Mateo knew that he might have to deal with some yelling. Mel didn't really scare him, even when he knew he was being serious. Of course, he wasn't going to keep on testing that anger, but it wasn't like he was going to run away every time the man looked at him like that.

It was still kind of hot seeing him mad. Mateo hated to admit it, because he felt bad working Melvin up, especially when he was sick. That, and those dark blue eyes had glared at him so harshly that Mateo thought he was going to be burned at the stake through looks alone. He guessed seeing him get angry was probably a good thing, in a weird way. Because it meant that he was getting better.

At least, enough to get mad and accuse him of tampering with his business.

"Don't worry," Melvin weaved his fingers into Mateo's while they were on the couch. "I still love you."

It was still filling him with joy hearing those words come out of him. Mateo never thought that hearing someone tell him they loved him would make him feel any special. But he always felt lighter when Melvin did. It just let him know that he wasn't alone in his feelings. Because the longer they were together, the more Mateo fell for him.

They were watching a movie that Anton had picked out. Melvin had somehow stayed up through half of it before he fell asleep again. Mateo enjoyed the softer side of Mel, even though the rough side turned him on quite a lot. Having his head fall on Mateo's shoulder while he slept just made him want to stay there forever with him.

Anton and Lucas decided to leave once the movie was over. That was when Melvin woke up, even though Mateo would have loved if he just stayed asleep and didn't move away from him. They all said their goodnights while Mateo turned off the television and went to make sure Melvin got to bed. There wasn't a point to sleeping on the couch anymore if he was already awake.

Instead, Mateo found that Mel had somehow managed to grab the laptop without him hearing a single thing out of him. Those dark blue eyes scanned the screen again.

"Mel," Mateo walked back over to him. "Come on, you need to get more sleep."

"How did you do this so well?" Melvin asked, scrolling through the document he had written up. "I can't even seem to find any loopholes."

"Well, I just thought of all the things you taught me," Mateo answered. "And I picked up on a few things from that nightclub of yours. A lot of the terms I had to google, though."

"This is the first contract for this that you've ever made?" Melvin looked up to him. He seemed completely focused on work. Which was the exact opposite of what Mateo wanted.

"Yeah," he answered. "Now, are you coming to bed?"

"You should make a side gig out of this," Melvin told him, completely ignoring his question. "It isn't too often that someone can make up a contract like this in a few hours."

"I mean, Lucas probably could have too," Mateo sat next to him on the couch, giving up on bringing him to the room for now. "I think he was just really squeamish about the fact that it was with two people. We both drew up contracts like that for businesses, though."

He was glad that Lucas got hired by Anton to help out. Knowing him, that business will be completely organized in the next few months. Lucas was always meticulous when it came to paperwork. The man was the only one Mateo had seen that could somehow manage to keep his email organized and clean of any messages other than action items.

Mateo's was always a mess. He worked perfectly when his desk and computer looked like chaos. He remembered how many times Lucas would complain about it. It was always a funny conversation. But Mateo wouldn't dare let the man near his computer. Lucas would have tried to organize it and then Mateo would have no clue where to find anything.
