Fish-Man Island, Conchorde Plaza
Amidst the wreckage, a sudden, earth-shaking shockwave rippled outward.
From the rubble, Hody Jones emerged with a ferocious roar, claws scraping against broken stone. His once calm façade had been replaced with a mask of pure fury. His sharp teeth gleamed menacingly as he bared them in a savage grin, eyes burning with rage and hatred.
His voice, raw and filled with venom, cut through the chaos. "You... Vander Decken," he spat, voice thick with contempt. "You were nothing but a useless, gullible fool. I trusted you, and look where it got us—nothing but rubble and despair." His gaze flicked to the fallen debris, as if blaming the chaos on that traitorous ally.
Turning swiftly, Hody's cold crimson eyes locked onto Jinbei, the calm and steadfast fish-man warrior. His voice dripped with disdain. "It's imperative that we eliminate Shirahoshi now, without delay. She's the only obstacle left, and I won't let her stand in my way. Jinbei, I should have known better—playing the loyal subordinate, pretending to be your friend. But I see through your facade now. You've always been too soft, too conflicted. You've been playing me for a fool, haven't you? Maintaining your fragile morals, hiding your true loyalties. And you—" Hody's gaze sharpened as it moved to Luffy. "—you think you can stop me? Look at all these powerful pirates gathered here! This is your end, Strawhat!"
His voice rose in a triumphant, thunderous declaration, echoing through the submerged plaza. "I am the one true king of the pirates! The only one worthy of that title! "
Yushiro's eye twitched in irritation, his lips curling into a slight snarl. "This brat..." he muttered under his breath, clearly annoyed at the audacity of Hody's declaration.
Luffy, standing nearby, softly muttered, "Pirate King...?".
Suddenly, Hody erupted into maniacal laughter. His eyes glinted with madness as his voice boomed, "JA HA HA HA! What can you do with your measly little crew of eleven?! We have over one hundred thousand fish-men on our side! That's right—100,000! Get them, New Fish-Man Pirates! Show them what true strength looks like!"
With that, the entire army of fish-men roared in unison, a deafening battle cry that shook the submerged plaza. "UWOOOOOO!" they bellowed, charging forward with fierce determination .
Luffy stepped forward alone, his stance calm but resolute, facing the approaching tide of enemies. His expression was firm, eyes focused as he prepared to confront them.
Zoro, standing a few paces behind him, looked on with confusion. "Huh?" he muttered, puzzled by Luffy's solitary stance.
Sanji, who had been watching anxiously from the side, called out, "Hey, Luffy!".
Yushiro, observing quietly, let out a tired sigh. "He just wants to finally use that Haki..." he mumbled, almost to himself. Calmly, he reached into his bag and gently opened it, revealing Bella—his feline companion—who immediately jumped onto his shoulder. Yushiro closed the bag carefully, petting Bella's chin with a gentle finger, a small, satisfied smile on his face as the creature purred comfortably.
Luffy stood tall, his gaze unwavering as he prepared to unleash his formidable power. Without warning, he glared at the Fish-Men and summoned his Conqueror's Haki.
In an instant, a visible wave of energy burst forth from him. The effect was staggering—many of the approaching fish-men suddenly froze in place, their eyes rolling back as they collapsed onto the ground unconscious. A total of 50,000 fish-men dropped like marionettes with their strings cut, overwhelmed and rendered helpless.
