Chapter 143: The End of the first Training and the Start of another one

The scene at Marineford was slightly fogged over, looking like a daydream.

Yushiro ran beside Luffy, both bruised and battered. Running in front of them was Inazuma who used his Devil Fruit to cut up and make a way with the pavement, opening a path to the execution platform.

"Luffy-kun, Yushiro-kun, Go!", Inazuma ordered and the brothers passed by him without a word.

Garp jumped down on the bridge to stop them but Luffy went into Gear Second and punched him down.

Once they reached Ace, Sengoku went immediately into his Buddha form, ready to crush all pirates.

Mr.3 was there to shield Ace and Luffy while Yushiro went against Sengoku. The shockwave was so powerful that the execution shattered, sending all the pirates to the ground.

Ace was now free from his shackles and before bullets came to life, he transformed into fire and protected all three of them.

"You guys never change, huh?", Ace half-heartedly scolded them.

The two brothers could only laugh in joy as their brother was finally freed. "Ace!!"

The happy mood changed as the scenery changed and suddenly became blood red. Flames overtook the scene, changing into ace standing in front of his brothers with a magna fist through his chest, creating a hole.

There was no sound except for the dripping of Akainu's magna as he burnt Ace's insides. As soon as Ace collapsed, he fell into his brothers' arms.

"I'm so sorry.....Luffy....Yushiro-nii....", Ace whispered softly as blood fell on their shoulders. "Just for me....you did all that crazy stuff...but i couldn't even let you save me properly...I'm so sorry..."

"W..What're you saying...?! Don't be ridiculous..!", Yushiro screamed in denial.

Luffy turned to Ace's crew, desperate for any kind of help. "Someone help him!! Ace...please save Ace!! Hey! Isn't there anyone who can save Ace?!"

The doctor approached them, but Ace stopped him, unlike before.

"I can feel it...slipping away...", Ace said in a voice that was barely above a whisper. He huffed for every word. "I...can't speak...loud enough for the others...to hear it.."

"Ace...", the two brothers mourned as they held onto him tighter.

"Please...pass on what i'm about to say...", Ace whispered. "Pops, everyone...and you....Luffy....Yushiro-nii...."

Ace hugged them one last time before his body went completely limp, hitting the ground with a huge thud.

Everything became still as Yushiro and Luffy stared at their brother's corpse in disbelief.

They both cried to the heavens as the scene suddenly shifted.

Rusukaina Island

Yushiro jolted up from a makeshift bed and panted heavily.

He stopped after a few moments and glanced beside him. Luffy was sleeping on another makeshift bed next to him, his hand on Yushiro's leg, like he was holding onto him so that he wouldn't disappear.

"Did you have a nightmare?", Rayleigh asked from the opposite side of him. He asked as if he already knew the answer.

Yushiro's eyes had gotten numb again and he looked up when Rayleigh had gotten up to sit next to him. "You're covered in sweat. Have you drank any blood?"
