1 YEAR LATER

Rooster and Jada welcomed a little boy named Raymond Jr. Jr's big sisters are crazy about him as well Rooster he loves having another child and excited about having a son, who he also vowed never to hurt him the way he was hurt.

Life for them was perfect you'd think Jada had the perfect life. She was married to a great guy and had a brand new baby boy. But unbeknownst to those closest to her, Jada was being tormented and lied to by postpartum depression. Dealing with this before and getting help with it she thought she could control it but she couldn't. Her struggle with postpartum depression ended when police found her dead the morning of Dec. 26 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Christmas night Jada told Rooster she was taking the kids with her to her dad's house to drop off a gift. Their infant son was found in a car seat in a running vehicle nearby. Their daughter Rayna was with her mother's body Rima was not with them she was spending time with her grandmother. Rayna was flown to Grand Rapids with symptoms of hypothermia and an injury to her head.

Both children were home doing well on Dec. 29 and Rooster plans to seek grief counseling for his daughters. Rooster stood alongside his wife, throughout her depression and knew the difficulties of her struggle. But in his home this week, he never could have anticipated her untimely death or how serious her thoughts had become.

That day when she was gone longer than expected, he called her father and her father said he never seen them that night. He reported her missing later that night, and police located her car about 10:30 a.m. the next day. Despite having everything to live for, Jada desperately wanted to die. So she wrote a goodbye email, in which she apologized to her family, writing, "I'm so sorry that I didn't know how to describe this pain to you and how to seek help again for, so sorry I lied to you Ray I love you more than anything."

Rooster goes and visits her grave everyday not bringing the kids and even the spot where she took her own life he had the spot where her body was found a tree planted there he still loves her and know no one will ever compare to her. Every night at bed time after he put the kids to bed he always tell them "My biggest fear was I would die without feeling really in love then boom, she walked in, getting on my nerves and all but I recognized it." Rooster never remarried or went out on dates anymore, he all he need in life is his kids and family and to know that Jada loved him.
