"I'll see you later, (Y/n)." My sister, Kaina, left the house to go save people, as she usually does. Even if it's not in the most heroic way.

Although we were 20 years apart in age, we were always close. I have always idolized my older sister for her accomplishments. Her cool quirk, Rifle, allowed her to extend a gun from her elbow and twist her hair into bullets. It's even more amazing that she was scouted out by the Hero's Public Safety Commission at my age!

Little ten-year-old me always sat by the window, wondering when I'd be like her. Too soon I'm afraid. I had lived alone with my sister after our parent's deaths, not that I remember them too much anyway.

One day, a loud banging came from the front door, as I watched the TV. It's only been an hour and Kaina has a key. Who is it?

"It's the Hero's Public Safety Commission," a man sternly said. "I know you're in there, kid."

Kaina said to never answer the door for anyone. Before I even had time to hide, someone shot the door handle off. The men's uniforms belonged to the Commission, telling me that I could trust them. Three other heroes were present as well, one with green and yellow hair, one blue girl, and a cockroach person.

The tall man with green and yellow hair was the one to approach me first.

"You're (Y/n), aren't you?" The man gently questioned, as I nodded in fear. "I'm Sir Nighteye; I've worked alongside your sister, Lady Nagant before."

"Where is my sister?"

"I'm sorry, but you're not going to be able to see her again."

    "What?"

With no parents or relatives to go to, I was placed in Sir Nighteye's care. I always found it hard to trust adults, since they always lied to make me feel okay. Kaina was an exception, and I soon found out that the hero was one too. He left no details out when telling me about what happened to Kaina. Something inside her snapped, causing her to murder the chairman of the Hero's Public Safety Commission. I didn't find it too much of a surprise, since I knew about her work. They couldn't have expected to throw all that guilt on one girl's shoulders. What pissed me off the most was that they covered it up as her 'killing a hero.'

"Nagant is already enroute to Tartarus right now." He placed his hand on my head. "I'm sorry that you have to be ripped away from your only family."

"Don't be." I wiped away a silent tear. "She did what she had to do. Kaina is a hero, and she will always be in my mind."

"You do understand that her treachery is going to affect you, right?"

    "It is?"

Nighteye sighed, before explaining my current dilemma. "News of this will spread like wildfire, so you're gonna have to move to being homeschooled. On top of that, the Commission will probably want to train you as a replacement for Lady Nagant."

"I'm fine with the training part, but do I really need to leave my school?"

"Do you want to get bullied for your sister turning into a villain?"

    "Fair point."

I was placed in an online school program. Not wanting to leave me unsupervised, Sir Nighteye, or Mirai Sasaki, let me quietly stay in his office while I did my work. The schooling I did also gave me a flexible schedule, which allowed me to train with the Commission as well.

My quirk, Blood Manipulation, allows me to manipulate my blood into however I see fit: forming weapons and in some cases, projectiles. The way the commission wanted me to use it was different though. If I create a slit on my elbow, I can replicate the gun of Lady Nagant, using my blood as the bullets. After a few months of practicing, my aim was almost as good as hers, which gave the new chairwomen an idea.

What if I was able to make a miniature bullet that wouldn't do much permanent damage, but temporarily take them out instead? Sure, it wasn't too big alone, but the way I was able to utilize it made it that much more powerful. A blood bullet, condensed to the size of a sewing needle, was all it took to temporarily paralyze my targets. If it was any bigger, then it would create permanent damage or kill them. Once the correct spot on the target's neck was struck by the needle, it would strike a certain nerve, rendering them unconscious. One shot between the axis and atlas bones (the first two vertebrae bones) and it was over for them.

Of course, I couldn't tell anyone anything, not that I had any friends. Junior high will be different, whenever I'm old enough to go, since the rumors will die down by then! That's what I always told myself at least.

Quirk Information:

Blood Manipulation: She can manipulate her blood into however she sees fit: forming weapons and in some cases, projectiles.

If her blood manages to pierce between the Axis and Atlas bones (C1 and C2), then the blood needle strikes a nerve in the spinal cord, rendering the subject unconscious.

Drawbacks: She will pass out from blood loss if she does not reabsorb her blood. Blood that has completely disconnected from her body cannot re-enter her body. She can heal herself, but organs and bones take much longer to reconstruct. (Organs - Up to 5 hours, Bones - Up to 3 days)

AN: I can't stick to one story for the life of me, so I've decided to write the majority of the story before posting it. I literally just finished writing season six yesterday... after starting this around Christmas 2023 (It's the middle of July 2024 now).
