-Ten Months Later-

Over the past few months, I had been spending more time in the training rooms of the Hero's Public Safety Commision, training my Blood Manipulation. Though I didn't notice much of a difference, my training partners always said otherwise.

Katsumi was also my newest sparring partner. Her shadow quirk was a formidable foe. She can make shadow figures of various forms and even move through the shadows. I think it's safe to say that our techniques have grown exponentially throughout these past six months.

I dressed in a (f/c) activewear top, pairing it with black shorts. My hair was tied up into a ponytail, to keep it out of my way. The recommendation exam is usually held a week before the main exams.

After a thirty-minute train ride and a ten-minute walk, I reached the campus of UA, where the exam was held. Other than me, there were twenty others. I'm guessing that no more than six people will actually get in. One girl caught my eye. She was tall with black hair and matching eyes. Her hands tightly held the bottom of her shorts. I guess she's nervous too.

"Hey, I'm (Y/n) Tsutsumi." I introduced myself, as I walked up to the girl. "There's no need to be nervous, especially if you were qualified to take this exam."

She smiled, letting out a nervous laugh. "I didn't realize it was that obvious. "I'm Momo Yaoyorozu, it's nice to meet you, Tsutsumi."

The two of us made small talk as we waited for the exam to start. We didn't mention our quirks to each other, as to not give us an unfair advantage.

"Did you see that kid with the white and red hair?" Yaoyorozu asked me. "I think he's Endeavor's son."

"Really?!" I looked at the boy who secluded himself in the corner of the room. "He definitely has a good chance of making it in."

"Tell me about it."

"All junior high students here for the UA entrance exam, please take your spots at the track." A mouse in a suit spoke through a megaphone. "You will be partaking in a series of two tasks: an obstacle course race and a partner activity."

The twenty-one of us did as the mouse said, lining up at the starting line. How are they going to partner us up with an odd amount of people? I guess some of us will get cut after the race.

With a rumble, the normal track in front of us changed into a cityscape. Buildings rose from the ground, as small mechanical robots began to roam the streets.

"The rules are simple," the mouse said. "Reach the finish line first. Anything goes. The first twelve to reach the finish line will advance to the final round. Good luck!"

The sound of a horn blared, telling us all to start running. He went straight to the point. I sprinted as fast as I could, while simultaneously making a cut on my palm with the sharp end of the ring I was wearing. My blood vessels quickly exited my body, weaving themselves into a sturdy rope. If I'm up in the air, then I'm out of the reach of those robots. Grabbing onto the tops of the buildings with the ends of the blood ropes, I swung ahead of everyone, or so I thought.

Endeavor's son whizzed past me, using his ice to propel himself through the air. Don't focus on him. I don't need to get first place, just the top five will do. Another guy with a wind quirk also moved quicker than me, slowly catching up to Todoroki.

The three of us managed to speed through the obstacle course within two minutes, later followed by Yaoyorozu and the others.

"Wow," the black-haired girl huffed. "You're fast, Tsutsumi. I can't believe you were able to keep up with that Todoroki kid."
