"Haha, that interview on TV last night was hilarious." I chuckled, as Izuku and I took our seats in the classroom.
"I know right!" He laughed. "Who knew All Might could do magic tricks!"
"Yeah, I loved the part when he-"
*Boom* A blonde boy cut me off, by slamming his explosive fists on the green haired boy's desk.
Picking up the notebook, he scanned it, before throwing it across the room. "Still trying to become a journalist, Deku? A stupid nerd like you will never become a hero!"
Deku? Is that some kind of nickname?
"Who is that?" I asked the boy next to me, completely ignoring the blonde.
"That's Katsuki Bakugou, he's also in this class," he shook.
"Who the hell are you?" Bakugou barked.
"I'm (Y/n) Tsutsumi," I said. "I'd also appreciate it if you stop picking on my friend."
"Friend?" The blonde laughed, as he got up in my face. "He doesn't have any friends."
"I can make my own decisions on who's my friend, thank you very much," I sneered.
Sparks ignited in his palm, as he gritted his teeth. "Don't talk to me that way, b-"
"Everyone, take your seats," the teacher announced. "Class is starting."
As everyone, including Bakugou, scrambled around the room to their seats, I picked up the notebook. After I handed it back to its rightful owner, Izuku smiled and mouthed a thank you.
-After School-
Today was such a lovely day, so I convinced Izuku to walk with me through the park. Of course I wanted to hang out with him, but I also wanted to know more about this kid who was picking on him. Maybe I have to pull off a Haruka part two.
"You wanted to ask me about Kacchan, didn't you?" The green haired boy almost read my mind, as we walked side by side.
"Was it that obvious?" I awkwardly laughed. "Kacchan? You have a nickname for him even though he bullies you?"
"Yeah, he's actually my childhood friend," he explained. "The bullying didn't start until he got his quirk, Explosions. The nitroglycerin from the sweat on his hands can create explosions, as you saw earlier."
"Eww, so his hands are always sweaty?" I cringed. "That's disgusting."
Izuku chuckled, as he rubbed the back of his head. "I hadn't thought of that. Anyway, he gave me the nickname, Deku, just to remind me that I'm useless and don't have a quirk."
I stopped in my tracks, pulling the green haired boy into a hug. "Don't ever say that about yourself!" Pulling away, I kept my hands on his shoulders. "It's not too uncommon to not have a quirk. Even so, you're still a great person despite everything you've been through. Don't let what that blonde twerp says get to your head."
A few tears spilt from his eyes, as he quickly wiped them away. "No one's ever said something so nice to me!"
"I won't say I know what you're going through, because I don't," I continued. "Halfway throughout elementary school, I moved and was put into a homeschool program. For years, I didn't have any friends. I know what it's like to be lonely and I don't want anyone to have to feel that way. Let's stick together, Izuku."
He smiled, as heat rose to his cheeks. "I'm glad that I have you, (Y/n)."
"Me too."
Silence filled the space between the two of us, though I couldn't really tell if it was a good or bad one.
Izuku was the one to break it. "My mom is actually making (f/f) tonight. Do you want to come to my house for dinner?"
"Sure, I love (f/f)!" I replied. "My brother already told me that he'd be working late tonight, so I don't think he'd mind. I'll just shoot him a text."
"Awesome."
-At Izuku's Apartment-
"Mom, I'm home and I brought a friend." Izuku announced, as we took off our shoes.
"Friend?!" A lady with green hair sprinted to the door, immediately meeting my eyes. "You must be (Y/n)! My little Izuku talks about you all the time!"
"MOM!" The green haired boy's face turned into a bright shade of red.
"What? You haven't had a friend in such a long time!" She lowered her voice, but I could still hear her. "A cute girl at that."
"MOM STOP!"
I giggled, extending my hand out to his mother. "I'm (Y/n) Tsutsumi, it's nice to meet you, Mrs. Midoriya."
She placed her hand over her heat. "Aw, she's nice too." Shaking my hand, she introduced herself. "I'm Izuku's mom, and you can call me Inko. Mrs. Midoriya just sounds too formal."
"You're too kind."
We all sat down at the dinner table, as Inko served (f/f). Of course, it was delicious. Afterwards, Izuku showed me his All Might collection in his room. I honestly think he has more All Might merch than Sir Nighteye!
"Oh, and this one is from All Might's golden age!" He held up another figure. "He's the rarest one in my collection!"
"Wow, I never thought I could see so much All Might in one room," I chuckled. "My skeleton collection could never match up to your All Might one."
"You collect skeletons?" Izuku looked quite concerned, as he sat next to me on his bed.
"Plastic skeletons, not real ones." I corrected myself, letting him breathe a sigh of relief. "Halloween is my favorite holiday, and my quirk has to do with blood, so I guess that's how I somehow found myself collecting a bunch of skeleton animals."
"That's really cool," he beamed. "Maybe one day you can show me."
"Sorry, but that probably won't ever happen. Not in person at least," I frowned. "My brother doesn't let me invite people over. Something to do with his work being confidential." For the most part, it wasn't a lie. Mirai said no to having friends over the second that I found out that the Commission enrolled me into a public school.
"Makes sense," he awkwardly smiled.
"I could always send you a picture of them." Pausing, I asked a question that lingered in my mind from the moment we sat down. "Where's your dad?"
His shoulders tensed at the slight mention of his father. "He works overseas. I actually haven't seen him in years."
I covered my mouth. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have brought that up."
"No, no, it's okay." The green haired boy waved his arms. "You were just curious, plus you would've found out eventually." He tried to change the subject, but it didn't turn out too well. "So, how are your parents?"
"Dead. I honestly don't know what happened to them."
"I'm sorry, I-"
"Don't worry about it," I interrupted. "I did the same thing to you, and it doesn't bother me. They died when I was like five, so my sister took care of me."
"Sister? I thought you said your brother took care of you."
"Well, he's not really my brother," I admitted. "He was a colleague of my sister, and he took me in when she got arrested."
"Arrested?!"
Shit, I didn't even think before speaking. "I said too much. It's getting late, so I probably should get going."
"Hey, you don't have to tell me anything if you're not comfortable with it." Izuku grabbed my hands, as I looked into his green eyes. "I'll walk you home."
"Thank you."
