A translucent jellyfish aimlessly floated through the tank as I stared at it. Although it wasn't able to do much, I was still captivated by the creature. Being able to float around freely without anyone telling them what to do. It sounds nice.
"(Y/n)?" Katsumi waved her hand in front of my face, snapping me back to reality.
The two of us decided to have a girl's day at the aquarium with a sleepover planned afterwards. Mirai said that I couldn't have people over, but after the first few times Katsumi snuck in through my window, he allowed it.
"Oh, sorry." Smiling, I faced her. "The jellyfish are just so pretty."
"So you weren't thinking about Midoriya again?" The white-haired girl crossed her arms, as she tapped her yellow converse on the aquarium's floor.
My cheeks heated up, turning a bright pink. "Shut up!"
Yes, it's true. Though I had never expected myself to catch feelings for him, I was quite happy. I honestly hadn't been able to imagine myself with someone before. My thoughts were always on filling my sister's footsteps. I guess I didn't realize that I could have a life of my own outside of that. Not to mention, Izuku was the only guy friend that I ever had.
"Look, you should just-"
"Woah, is that the shark exhibit?" I pointed to the sign, cutting my friend off.
"SHARKS!!!" The white haired girl bolted out of the exhibit, heading straight for the shark tunnel.
"Even if I could bring myself to tell him, would he even say yes?"
I followed after Katsumi, finding her pressing her face against the glass. The tunnel was entirely made of the clear material, excluding the floor, revealing the hundreds of sharks that swam around the insanely large tank. Other colorful fish swam beside them. I wonder why the sharks don't eat them.
Once she noticed my presence, she pulled herself off. "Can we take one home?"
"Um, I don't think that'll fit on the train."
"Damn," Katsumi mumbled. "Fat bitch!"
"There's still the gift shop," I suggested.
"Good thing I haven't spent my allowance money yet!"
After coming out of the gift shop with an entire bucket of plastic sharks, a stingray plush, a hippo plush, and three memorable photographs (with the sharks), we took the train home.
-In My Room-
"So, where were you the other night?" Katsumi questioned, as she took a spoonful of the brownie mix, straight out of the bag.
"Here?" I gave her a questionable look. "Where else would I have been?"
"Don't play dumb, (Y/n)," she pouted. "I came here on Wednesday night, but no one was home."
Katsumi is the person I trust the most in this world. It wouldn't hurt to tell one person, could it? The Commission can't expect to throw all this weight on one girl's shoulders and expect for her to deal with it on her own. Mirai can't be there for me 24/7 either because of work. No one else needs to know anyway.
"You need to promise me that you won't tell anyone what I'm about to say... ever!"
"Wow, I didn't expect you to say that." The white-haired girl handed me her pinkie. "I pinkie promise."
I explained to her everything, ranging from my sister to my current missions. What I did exclude was anything I knew about One For All. That wasn't my secret to tell anyway. She knew it all now: the needle bullets, my vigilante identity, the entirety of my quirk, the events of Lady Nagant's arrest, my missions.
"So, the last mission that I was assigned involved me running through a sewage facility to stop some guy from delivering information that the Commission didn't want to get out." I cringed, remembering the putrid smell that burned my nose.
"Ew, that's disgusting," Katsumi cringed. "Back to the whole vigilante thing. Heroes have their hero names and you're basically an unlicensed hero, so what's your vigilante name?"
"Huh, I hadn't thought of a name." As I brainstormed, Katsumi went over to my closet, pulling out my costume. My main costume stayed in the locker room in the Hero's Public Safety Commission's office, but I had one on hand, along with another wig, just in case of an emergency.
"You said you want to be like your sister, right?" She questioned, twisting a strand of blue and pink hair on the wig.
"Yeah."
"Why don't you choose a name like hers then." After seeing my confused stare, she continued to explain. "You both have guns coming out of your arms. I remember you telling me that your sister's hero name was Lady Nagant because her rifle was a Nagant. So, why don't you make your name Lady- and then whatever your gun's name is."
My jaw dropped as I stared at the girl in front of me. "That is so smart! Looks like my vigilante name is Lady Hecate then."
"Lady Hecate? I like it!"
