"Hey, (Y/n)!" Mina called out to me, as she bounced across the back of the stage. "Have you seen Midoriya anywhere? He should be back by now."
"I haven't seen him," I admitted. "I'll call him now."
"Thanks, girlie!"
Clicking on his contact, I held the phone up to my ear, listening to it ring. No answer. That's weird, he usually picks up after two rings. Then, I decided to text him where he was. No response. Maybe he went back to the forest to train with All Might after his trip.
Another half hour passed; the time now being 9:00am. The concert starts at 10!
"Good morning, UA!" Present Mic shouted over the intercom. "Yeah! Prep work is all done and it's time to rock! Let's get this party goin'! If you can hear my voice, get out there and have fun! Let me hear you make some noise! The UA School Festival starts now!"
Filled with worry, I waited near the UA gate for my boyfriend. He should be back by now, or at least answered his phone.
-50 Minutes Later-
"There you are!"
"Sorry I'm late!"
Izuku ran through the gate, accompanied by Ectoplasm. His face was battered, and I was able to see some dried blood under his nose.
"What happened to you?!" I gasped, as I handed him his dance costume.
"Um... I'll tell you later," he awkwardly laughed.
"Alright, troublemaker. You should get changed, we're on in ten minutes!" I held his face in my hand, tracing over one of his scrapes. "Maybe you should visit Recovery Girl too. You don't want to worry Eri, do you?"
"You're right." The green haired boy nodded, before running off. "I'll be back in time. I promise."
-Back Stage-
Okay, what part of ten minutes did he not understand? Everyone else was already here and present. The band and special effects teams all wore their school skirts/pants, while the dance team wore the costumes that Mina created. They were yellow suits with red ties. The boys had yellow pants, while the girls had yellow skirts with purple tights underneath. I thought it was an odd color combination, but they still pulled it off.
"There's way more people here than I thought there'd be!" Toru shrieked, as her and Ochaco slightly pulled back the curtain. Wow, we have a full house.
"Is Deku still not back?" Ochaco questioned.
"That slowpoke better put a fire under his butt and get here now!" Mineta squealed.
The lights shut off in the gym, once the clock hit 10:00am. Luckily, that was when Izuku showed up. He really cut it close.
The curtains slowly opened, fully exposing us to the crowd, who was cheering us on. I was stationed next to Momo, so my ears weren't killed from Bakugo's malicious drumming.
"Now! Start, damn it!" The blonde shouted. "Get ready UA. Our sound is gonna kill you!" No wonder they don't like us.
Raising my trumpet up to my mouth, I began to play the notes that I had memorized over the past month.
"Thanks for comin' out today!" Kyoka shouted, before breaking into song. "What am I to be? What is my calling? I gave up giving up, I'm ready to go. The future's left unseen. It all depends on me. Put it on the line to follow my dream. Yeah! Tried all my life. I tried to find something that makes me hold on and never let go. Oh-oh-ohh! Hero too! I am a hero too. My heart is set, and I won't back down. Hero too. Strength doesn't make a hero. True heroes stand up for what they believe, so wait and see."
