Chapter 68: Her First Mission

Bored out of my mind, I laid on my bed. Izuku's busy and I don't want to bother Katsumi, since she's probably not in the best mood right now.

    *Ring Ring* A random number popped up on my screen. I wonder who this could be? "Hello?"

    "Is this Tsutsumi?" The voice of an older man was on the other line. "It's Gran Torino."

    "You're the last person I expected to call. I'm assuming it's something regarding the League of Villains?"

    "Correct. Tsukauchi told me that he was keeping you in the loop, so I figured that we could use your help. You also heard what All For One said in Kamino, didn't you?"

    "About Shigaraki being his master's grandchild?"

    "Yes. We may have located their hideout, which is why we need someone who specializes in stealth to investigate. Tsukauchi was going to be the one to ask, but he had to take All Might to visit All For One."

    "I'd be glad to accept, but the Commission wants me to start taking Katsumi Shirakumo on missions with me. You may remember her from the sports festival with her shadow quirk. The Chairwoman said that we'd be a great duo, considering how well we work together and how she can teleport."

    "I believe he did mention that. Anyway, Tsukauchi will get you two in about an hour and inform Eraser and the principal about this. I've seen you fight firsthand, so I don't think you'll have any problems. Good luck, kid."

"Thank you, Gran Torino."

I called Katsumi and explained the situation to her. When it comes to stealth, her quirk is the perfect match, which is why this will be a great first mission.

-1 Hour Later-

    Mr. Aizawa had texted me not too long ago, saying that we were able to leave campus without filling out a form. After changing into our costumes, (she wore a black jacket with a black tank top and shorts) Katsumi teleported us outside of the gate, so we didn't trigger any alarms or get spotted by anyone who was awake. That's where we met the Detective.

    In his car, he drove us near the woods, while he explained the situation in depth. "Twice, or Jin Bubaigawara, is someone who we expect to be working with the League of Villains. We have someone following him 24/7, which is how we found out that he was recruiting other villains. Tonight, he's supposed to be taking Overhaul, or Kai Chisaki, to the hideout. The Commission wants you to take down as many villains as you can; Shigaraki being the priority, considering-"

    "Yeah, I know." Katsumi doesn't know about the AFO vs OFA lore, so I had to interrupt him. "Shigaraki is related to someone close to All Might."

    "What?! Really?!" The white-haired girl gasped.

    "Yeah, and if he's also close with that All For One guy, then there's probably something going on that we don't know about," I frowned. "He seems smart enough to have a backup plan for if he failed to defeat All Might."

    "From what intel we gathered, there shouldn't be too many villains there," the Detective continued. "Overhaul, Twice, Shigaraki, Mr. Compress, Himiko Toga, Magne, Dabi, and Spinner will most likely be the only villains there. Retreat if you're spotted."

    "Got it!"

    The two of us were dropped off at the edge of the forest.

    "The base should be two miles away in this direction, according to that guy." Katsumi held onto my arm as we sank into a shadow. "We should be able to get there in six to seven minutes, since I can't teleport straight there."
