-A Few Days Later-
Although I found my free time quite limited, I always found some kind of opportunity to stay by Izuku's side, as he slept. Every day, I'd just stare at his face, wondering what would happen to him.
Today, the nurses said that he was moving in his sleep last night, which was a sign that he might wake up soon. Inko was here more than I was, not that it surprised me. I told her that I'd call her if he woke up, so she could go back to the dorms to take a shower and get something to eat.
As I checked my phone for the time, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. Izuku slowly opened his eyes, letting out a sleepy groan. His tired green eyes landed on me, as he gave me a smile.
"You're awake?!" I gasped. A few tears managed to slip down my cheek, before I started to full on cry. Since I couldn't hold his hand or hug him without risking another injury, I leaned my forehead to his. "You really need to stop scaring me like this."
The green haired boy chuckled softly, as he slightly lifted his head to kiss under my left eye. "I'm fine, I'm fine. There's no need for you to cry."
"Two broken arms and two broken legs?" I managed to laugh through my tears. "You have an odd definition of fine."
Izuku weakly laughed, as he touched his nose to mine. "A few broken bones is nothing, I've had much worse."
"Sure you have." I rolled my eyes, before holding his cheek in my palm and kissing his forehead. "Want me to go get the nurse?"
The boy hesitated for a moment as I pulled away, leaning into my touch. "Tell me... are you really Lady Hecate?"
"I'm sorry, I wanted to tell-"
"Hey, I'm not mad," the green haired boy interrupted. "If I was, it'd be pretty hypocritical, wouldn't it?"
"No," I countered. "I still hid it from you, even when you told me about One For All. The reason I didn't tell you, was because I didn't want you to see me for the monster I am. My sister was Lady Nagant: a sniper who's skill outmatches Snipe's quirk. Didn't you ever wonder what Sir Nighteye meant when he said 'that girl has too much on her plate' when mentioning his candidates for OFA? Once Kaina was arrested for killing the Chairman, I was her replacement. The Commission helped me learn how to use my blood to make a gun on my arm and shoot whoever they tell me to. No questions asked. I knock people out by shooting a sensitive nerve, but I sometimes wonder if killing them could save more people. I mean, look now. Tartarus villains are everywhere! Some that I even locked away-"
"(Y/n)!" Izuku shouted, snapping me out of my trance. "Sorry, I didn't mean to yell."
"No, I could've avoided this by telling you."
"(Y/n)..." The green haired boy looked down at my hand, before meeting my gaze again. "I was going to hold your hand, but I forgot I can't do that. That's beside the point though. I'm glad you're telling me this now, really. You said that you feel killing villains might save more people, but I assure you, you're doing the right thing."
I softly smiled, as I leaned my forehead to my boyfriend's again. "Thanks. I think I really needed to hear that." After pecking his lips, I pulled my phone from my pocket. "Your mom told me to tell her when you wake up. If another incident like this happens, I think she might die of a heart attack."
"She already gave me an earful on New Years," Izuku sweat dropped. "Also, do you mind getting the nurse now? I don't like feeling like a mummy."
"Okay, I'll go get one."
"Thanks. I love you."
"I love you too, Izuku."
-Twenty Minutes Later-
Inko literally dropped everything to rush to the hospital the second I sent that message. I stayed with Izuku, while the nurse cut his cast off. His arms looked fine, aside from the few added scars.
The two of us sat at my boyfriend's bedside, while All Might stood on the other side, listening to the doctor speak.
"I see. From what I understand, you survived some serious injuries in the past and were told that further trauma could cost you the use of your arms. Previously your injuries were caused by small explosions inside your body. Fortunately, this time, that power surfaced and escaped. Your scans suggest that you used your quirk to reinforce your physique from the inside out, which is why your limbs weren't completely shattered like before. In short, the injuries are similar, but your frame was more prepared for them this time. Nevertheless, your body won't keep bouncing back. You still need to be careful."
The doctor left the room, leaving the four of us in an awkward silence. I held Izuku's hand, rubbing my thumb up and down his skin. I can't even begin to imagine what's going through his mind now.
"Will you explain what's going on, please?" Inko urged All Might.
The green haired boy squeezed my hand, before giving his mentor a serious nod.
The blonde man explained everything in detail, as the green haired woman listened in horror.
"So, this power of his... He can control it because he was born quirkless. And now there are some bad people who're after my son. What's going to happen to him?" Inko kept her hand on her son's back, as she continued to look at All Might.
A knock at the door caused the room to fall back to silence. Hawks didn't wait for an answer before sliding the door open.
"You said I had an hour," I huffed.
"I'm sorry, but things just took a turn for the worse," Hawks frowned.
I turned to my boyfriend, giving him a peck on the cheek. "I'll see you back at UA."
"Wait, where are you going?"
"I have no clue."
I didn't tell him about my team up with the top three heroes. If I did, he'd be insistent on joining us. I mean, I know he can handle himself, but it's risky, since the villains are specifically after him. Izuku is better off at UA, where it's safe.
I hadn't had any time to go back to UA recently, since I was teamed up with the top three heroes to help take down these villains. All Might did though.
The blonde man handed me a letter, which I read.
Dear (Y//n),
I love you more than anything. As you're reading this, I'm sure that our other classmates are reading their letters. I told them about One For All and how I had gotten it from All Might. Shigaraki and All For One want to steal my power, which is why I'm leaving UA. The last thing I want is to put others in danger, especially you. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you in person, but I know you wouldn't have let me go if I had. Please, don't be sad, Sweetheart. Being in the hero course, meeting everyone in Class A, and being with you has made me happier than I could have ever imagined. Thank you and goodbye.
Love, Izuku
"No..." Tears welled from my eyes, as the paper crumpled in my hands. "You dumbass!"
It didn't make it much better when the others agreed with his strategy, making him part of our plan. Well, I don't really have too much room to talk, since I'm in the same position as him.
