Chapter 73: Boy Meets... (Season 4, Episode 3)

"The nerve." The green and yellow haired man pivoted, taking a step closer to us. "What are you doing with your face? Is this a joke to you?"

    "Uh no, I guess not?" Why are you still talking in the All Might voice?!

    "You attempted this blasphemous excuse of an impression on All Might's former sidekick?" Mirai looked directly in my boyfriend's eyes as he touched his face. Looks like he's going to use his quirk on him. This is getting worse by the second. "All Might's wrinkles aren't like this at all. You fool. In his early days, his crows' feet were 0.6 centimeters long. From the Silver Age on they were 0.8. These days, even unlicensed merchandise manages to have the correct wrinkles in the correct era. But you don't even know that much?"

    "Insanity," I muttered under my breath.

    My brother backed away. "I don't care for this one bit. You can see yourself out."

    "The vinegar river incident," Izuku started. What kind of river is made of fucking vinegar? "Are you not aware of it, sir? A middle schooler whose quirk allowed him to change the properties of water was drowning in a river. But All Might stepped in and saved him. The drowning kid panicked and accidentally turned the river into vinegar. Which, obviously, ended up getting in All Might's eyes. His face looked slightly different from normal after. That smile. Those narrowed eyes. That's the look I chose to impersonate earlier."

    I take it back. They're both insane.

    "I know this rescue," Sir Nighteye recalled. "Although it took place before I teamed up with him. And I believe they mentioned it briefly on the widely run television special entitled A Look Back."

    "Yes, I love that show!" Izuku exclaimed. "I know there weren't any villains involved, so some people think it was a boring save. I'm sure that's why the fans don't talk about it much, but I really like it for some reason! Honestly, I think the best part of the whole thing is the witty response he gave after being thanked by the kid he rescued!"

    If Izuku wasn't All Might's successor, then I think that he and my brother would've been besties. They're both way too obsessed with the former number one hero.

    "My skin feels 10 years younger." Really? That's what he said?

    "That's it! It was the perfect one-liner!"

    "Now I see." Sir Nighteye shot Izuku with a menacing glare. "You were just testing me."

    "What?" Oh, no!" He frantically waved his arms. "It's just that, since All Might is a teacher at my school, I never really get a chance to geek out about him. I maybe got a little excited."

    "As I recall, it turned out the child's volatile home life was to blame," the green and yellow haired man reminisced.

    Woah. They publicized that part? Quietly moving away from the two All Might fanboys, I walked over to Bubble Girl, who was still in the tickle machine.

"(Y/n)?" The blue girl questioned as I undid her restraints. "Who's that? He's loud."

"He's my classmate," I answered. He looks so cute when he geeks out like that.

After their conversation was over, Sir Nighteye took a seat at his desk. "Interesting. You want to do a work study here because you think that doing so will make you stronger."

"Yes, sir! Please let me!" Izuku stood in front of the desk, while Bubble Girl and I stood off to the side (out of paperweight throwing distance).

"We'd need to draw up a contract," my brother explained.
