-8 Months Later-

And just like that, my first year of junior high was over. Two more years to go until high school! Other than Katsumi, I was able to make a bunch more friends last year. It might've been because of the whole Haruka being taken down, but I wasn't complaining. Even with all these friends, I still mostly hung out with Katsumi and Izuku.

The green haired boy grabbed my hand, as we walked to wherever he was taking me. Ever since I joined a big friend group, Izuku had been clingier and always looked for the opportunity to hang out with me, alone. Not that I was complaining.

We stopped at a small looking shop that had a raccoon on the sign. "My mom actually told me about this place, and I thought you'd like it." He nervously blushed, before he looked down, realizing that we were still holding hands. Suddenly, he pulled his hand away "Ah! I'm so sorry, I-"

"It's alright." I smiled but was kind of upset from the loss of contact. "What is this place?"

He held the door open for me, as we went inside. "It's a raccoon cafe. You said that you like them, so I thought you'd enjoy this place."

RACCOONS?!?!?!??!?!

I wrapped my arms around his neck, clearly catching him off guard. "You seriously don't understand how happy I am now!"

The smile that I always enjoyed seeing appeared on Izuku's face. "I'm glad."

Although I offered to pay, Izuku wouldn't let me, saying that he invited me here and it's his responsibility. I'll let it slide this once and pay the next time we hang out.

Once we were let in, I immediately rushed over to the furry creatures. Once I sat down in the small pen, one decided to crawl onto my lap.

"Oh my god, it likes me!" I giggled, scratching the raccoon's belly, not even noticing that a certain someone's green eyes were staring at me.

My friend sat down next to me, his shoulder touching mine. "He is a cutie, isn't he?"

"He sure is," I cooed. "Are you gonna pet him?"

"Are you sure, I don't want to take the fun away from you!" The green haired boy panicked.

I softly giggled. "What makes you think that you'd be ruining the fun? I came here to hang out with you, silly."

The boy nervously laughed. "Haha, sorry."

The rest of our time at the cafe went well, as we talked about random things, heroes, school, and raccoons of course. I'm definitely coming back here soon. They had some bomb ass hot chocolate.

-The Next Day-

As normal, I walked to school with Katsumi, who had recently moved next door to me. (Mirai was not having it).

"So, he took you on a date?" The white-haired girl smirked, as we entered the school's gates.

"It wasn't a date," I corrected. I wish it was.

"Right," Katsumi sarcastically huffed. "A boy takes a cute girl to a cafe with her favorite animals. Not to mention that you're the only person he really talks to. Yeah, he's totally not trying to win you over."

"Come on, Katsumi." I frowned, opening my shoe locker. "You're not helping. Just because I have a crush on him doesn't mean you need to feed into my delusions-" A piece of paper fell out of my locker after I removed my school shoes.

"What's that?" My best friend asked, as I bent down to pick it up.

"Meet me behind the school after the final bell." After reading it out loud, I remembered the familiar handwriting. "I think Izuku wrote this."

"No shit," Katsumi chuckled. "It only took you two like a whole year! For someone who's top of our class and smart enough to strategize, you're sure dumb when it comes to guys."

    "Was that comment really necessary?"

"Street smarts: no. Book smarts: yes."

    "Shut up!"

-After School-

Throughout the entire day, I couldn't get the note off of my mind. I did speak to Izuku in the classes that I had with him, but I didn't bring the letter up, considering that he probably didn't want to say anything until it was time.

Since my classroom was right by the door, I was the first one to make it to our meeting spot. Not to my surprise, Katsumi was crouched down in a bush a few yards away.

"I can see you; ya know."

    "Shhh, he's coming."

The girl dissolved into the bush, as the boy I had been waiting for showed up.

"Sorry," he nervously breathed. "I didn't think you'd get here this fast."

"Don't worry about it," I smiled. "My last class is on the first floor."

"Right, I forgot." Scratching the back of his head, he recollected his thoughts. The boy grabbed my hands, blushing furiously, as he looked into my (e/c) eyes. "(Y/n), you were the first person that went out of their way and actually wanted to be my friend. You looked past the fact that I'm quirkless and that every kid picks on me for it. I honestly don't know where I'd be if it wasn't for you coming into my life. Haha, I guess I'm drawing this out too much. What I'm trying to say is that I really like you."

    "I like you too, Izuku."

"N-not as a friend, (Y/n)," he stuttered. "Do you want to be my girlfriend?"

Planting a kiss on his cheek, I hugged him. "I know what you meant. Of course I do."

As we walked home, we discussed a few boundaries for our relationship. He expressed that he wanted to keep us a secret since he didn't want me to get bullied for dating him or for Bakugo to try and use me against him with his tauntings. I knew I could handle anyone who tries to mess with me, but I didn't want his bullying to get worse, so I agreed. Though, he did say it was fine for me to tell Katsumi.
