We weren't able to hear anything that the two were saying, but it seemed like Shinso said something to provoke Izuku. The green haired boy angrily charged for the one with purple hair, only to stop halfway. What? Why is he stopping now?!
"Agh!" Ojiro stood up. "I warned him not to say anything!"
"Why's that?" I questioned.
"That's how I got controlled... I think," he admitted.
"The fight has just begun and Izuku Midoriya is... completely frozen?" Present Mic commented. "He's not moving a muscle! And what's with that look on his face? Could this be a quirk at work? Hitoshi Shinso seems to have Izuku Midoriya completely stunned!" Come on, you can do this! After Shinso said something else, Izuku began to walk towards the edge of the ring, "Uh- What?! Ah! Midoriya's obeying him!"
"Oh no, Deku, what are you doing?" Ochaco watched, as the two of us stood.
"He can't walk out of the ring!" Iida fumed. "He'll lose the match if he does!"
"Snap out of it," I muttered.
Present Mic then went on to explain Shinso's quirk. Brainwashing. With a verbal answer from his target after he asks them a question, he can control them.
All of a sudden, Izuku stopped just before the boundary lines, two of his fingers on his left hand glowing. A gust of wind surrounded the green haired boy as his quirk activated, obstructing our view.
Once the dust cleared, I saw him clearly, panting for air. He really broke the brainwashing- No, how would he have controlled his quirk in that state? Did One for All act on its own?
"What's this? Midoriya stopped just in time!" Present Mic yelled.
"That's the way to do it!" Iida raised his arms into the air.
"Woah, I was about to freak out," Ochaco let out a sigh of relief.
"Had me worried there for a second." I nervously laughed, before slumping back into my seat.
Izuku looked shocked, as he covered his mouth with his right hand. It was then that I noticed his two broken fingers. Well, at least it isn't his arm.
Without using his quirk, Izuku pushed Shinso to the boundary line. The general studies student fought back, giving my boyfriend a bloody nose. Grabbing Shinso's arm, Izuku tossed the boy over himself, body slamming him into the out-of-bounds zone. That was kinda hot.
"Shinso is out of bounds!" Midnight announced. "Midoriya advances to the next match!"
The crowd cheered, as I squeezed the life out of Katsumi.
"He won!"
"You're crushing me!"
I really wanted to go and congratulate my boyfriend for his win, but I had my own match to worry about. Not to mention that he'll probably be in the infirmary with All Might.
"Hey, Tsutsumi!" Jiro called out to me before I left the audience.
"Yes?"
"Teach that yellow haired idiot a lesson for us!"
"Oh, I will."
I spent the entirety of Present Mic's introductory commentary cooking up a plan. The next fight was going on in the background, but I wasn't paying too much attention to it.
Kaminari and I aren't a good match, especially since blood conducts electricity just as water does. I can't shoot a projectile at him either, since I would really injure him. Wait- If I can't shield myself with my blood, since it's connected to me and I'll get shocked, I could- Yeah, I'll make it work.
"Shoto Todoroki wins by a landslide!" Present Mic announced through the TV.
What? It just started. Turning to the screen, I was met with Sero, frozen in a monstrously sized piece of ice. Wow, he was really taken down with one move. That's insane. If I win this round and the next, then my opponent will either be Izuku or Todoroki. Yikes. This isn't going to be good for me either way.
