Chapter 47: Two Heroes (Part 1)

-Flashback-

All of the girls of Class 1A were sleeping over Momo's house after hitting the school's pool.  I will admit, we had some "enlightening" conversations.

    "You're so right, All Might definitely looks like he's got some kind of butt implants." Mina tilted her head, as we all looked at the giant flat screen TV in Momo's room, which was showing us an All Might documentary.

"He's literally the male version of Kim K," Katsumi giggled. "He's so American core."

"Momo!" Her mother called, causing her to rush out of the room.

"I wonder what that's about?" I pondered.

"Maybe dinner's done?" Kyoka suggested.

Suddenly, Momo's expensive double doors were slammed open, revealing an excited class deputy.

"You guys will not believe what my mother just told me!"

"What?!"

"Some companies that my parents are shareholders of just gave us tickets to I-Expo on I-Island!"

"No way!"

Her excited face turned into one of disappointment. "I can pay for all of you to go, but the thing is... I only have three tickets for the preview."

"Let's rock paper scissors for it!" Toru suggested.

"That's not a bad idea," Tsu agreed.

"All right!" Ochaco cheered. "Summer vacation here we come!"

    "Katsumi and I actually have tickets for I-Expo already," I admitted. "Sir Nighteye didn't want to go due to... personal matters..." He thought that he was going to run into All Might.

"Yeah," Katsumi laughed. "Sir Nighteye told her to take me, so he'd be Richie-free for the next week."

The games of rock paper scissors started, Momo being the referee. Our winners were Kyoka and Ochaco. They may have won, but we were all still planning on hanging out at the expo. This just meant that the five of us could view the exhibit early and go to the formal dinner.

I-Island, here we come!

-End Flashback-

    I was enthralled when I heard that we could wear our hero costumes here. Being outside of Japan with no way for the Commission to taunt me sounds like paradise.

    "Guys, let's go view the exhibit!" Momo's dark eyes glimmered. "It should be opening up any minute!"

    "You guys go without me, I have someone I need to meet up with," I admitted.

    "You know someone from I-Island?!" Kyoka, Momo, Ochaco, and Katsumi gasped.

    "Yeah, she goes to the school here," I explained. "Maybe I can bring her along. She'd love you guys."

    "It's always super cool to meet new people!" Ochaco grinned.

    "We'll probably still be in here for the next few hours." Kyoka moved her hands behind her head. "We can just meet up here later."

    "Gotcha." I began to head in the opposite direction. "See ya!"

    I texted Melissa to meet me near the center of the island, near one of the massive water fountains. What I didn't tell my friends was how I knew the daughter of the famous David Shield. You would think that it's from my connections to Sir Nighteye, but that's incorrect. Melissa was the one who made my gear for my vigilante costume and later, my arm gauntlets for my hero costume. Of course, she knew of my secret, and personally contacted me about costume upgrades and repairs. We developed a great friendship, even though I was never able to meet her in person. Until today.
