I walked into the office of Sir Nighteye, ready to be scolded. Oh, I should probably mention that the Detective retrieved my bag for me.
"You're back," Mirai said with a menacing glare. "What were you thinking?"
"I'm sorry." As I bowed, my (h/c) hair draped itself over my shoulders, covering parts of my face. "I know I should've taken care of it as Lady Hecate, but I didn't have a choice. Izuku sent-"
"Wait, you're telling me that you changed into your hero costume for your boyfriend?!"
"Let me finish!" I huffed, standing up straight. "Izuku was interning in a rural area with Gran Torino. But when I arrived in Hosu, he sent his location to the Class 1A group chat with no context. He wouldn't have done that if he wasn't in trouble, so I assumed that he ran into Stain."
"That still doesn't explain why you couldn't go as Lady Hecate," the pro frowned. "You could've taken him down easier."
"What part of no witnesses do you not understand?" I let out a sigh. "Anyway, my face is mostly covered by my scarf, but chances are my classmates would've recognized my voice, especially Izuku."
"I see." The green and yellow haired man leaned back into his chair. "I'll let it slide. The Commission didn't punish me for negligence like the other three anyway."
"Well, that's a relief."
"I'm sorry that I wasn't able to visit you in the hospital," he apologized. "I didn't think it was an appropriate time to meet One For All's successor yet."
"Yeah, yeah. It's kinda obvious that you didn't show up because you thought that All Might would be there."
"...This discussion is over. Go annoy your friends or something."
Although he doesn't often show it, I know that Mirai cares about me. Even though he stayed in his office the whole time of my stay in Hosu, he called me several times, just to make sure that I was alive. With a sly smile, I walked out of the office. The Hosu Chief of Police said to not tell anyone about the Stain incident, but... screw him.
