When I returned to the cave, I found both boys passed out. I guess it wasn't necessary to get more firewood.

The green haired boy was peacefully snoring, as he rested his head on his knees. That cannot be comfortable. Gently moving him, I placed his head on my shoulder, before resting my own on top of his. The exhaustion from running all day crept back into my body, allowing me to quickly fall asleep.

-A Few Hours Later-

The sound of an engine filled my ears, stirring me awake. Were we found?!

It woke Izuku up too. He quickly sprung to his feet. "A villain- ugh!" The green haired boy clutched his chest in pain.

"Careful!" I quickly grabbed onto his arm with the fear that he'd topple over.

Once he told me that he was okay, I let go and grabbed the case. Huh, Rody's gone. Maybe he decided to go play tic tac toe with the bears.

The two of us peeked around the entrance of the cave, finding a truck that Rody was in.

"Rody?" Izuku walked to the boy, who just hopped out of the old, rusted truck.

"Sorry, did I wake you two?" His tone sounded much nicer than yesterday.

I gave the brunette a confused glance, as I pointed at the vehicle. "Uh, where'd you get that?"

"I borrowed it," he smirked. "Just figured we were done walking. Even wrote an IOU in the name of the World Hero's Association. They'll understand. Wish they had a Sesna. We could've flown straight into Klayd, no problem."

"An airplane?" Izuku gasped. "You can really fly something like that?"

"Only in my dreams, friend. Get in."

The car was as damaged on the inside as it was the outside. I don't have room to complain, it's better than walking. Izuku was nice enough to take the middle seat, giving me the window.

    "Question," Rody blurted.

    "Yeah?"

"Once we figure out the case's secret, I can go home, right?"

"That should be fine," I reassured. "The villains will probably be taken care of by then."

"Oh," Izuku smiled. "I bet your younger brother's waiting for you at home."

    "Yeah, with my sister."

"What about your parents?" The green haired boy asked.

"Mom died right after she had my sister, so it was up to my dad to take care of the kids." That got dark real quick. "He did a pretty good job, raising us while juggling work. Then he suddenly up and disappeared one day."

    "Disappeared?" I questioned.

"Do you know about that group called Humarize?"

"We do," Izuku answered with a grim face. "They're a terrorist organization."

"Yeah, after people in town found out that dad left to become a member, things got bad for my family. Friends started ignoring us, we were kicked out of our school and out of our house, and I couldn't find anyone who'd hire me for honest work."

"I'm sorry, that's awful," the green haired boy apologized.

"I obviously resented my dad at first, not so much anymore," the brunette continued. "I don't have time to think twice about him. My little brother and sister are the most important things to me. I just wanna create a decent future for those kiddos." He pulled out a gold locket from underneath his shirt, popping it open.
