Brooke's eyes flickered open as she slowly began to wake. She felt heavy, really heavy. That was all she could think as her mind was foggy and even it felt heavy. Everything felt as if bags of cement were on her. Inside her bones felt like cement and her muscles felt as if they had weights on them. It hurt to even blink. What was going on?
She barely shifted her head to try and turn and as she did, something drifted across her stomach, leaving behind a fiery trace of a caress. Tears formed in her eyes then spilled down as the softest whimper left her lips.
"Little Love?" a deep voice sleepily murmured.
Startled, she flinched causing her to hiss in pain. "Little Pup?" another voice asked as the sound of sheets moving came from her other side.
There was a flick and then a soft light filled the room. The faces of Luke and Brandon appeared above her, but there was something different about them. The black of their eyes replaced the colors of their eyes and almost all of the white. There was a vibration in the air surrounding them as their dark eyes scan over her body.
"You okay, Carebear?" Luke asked as he tilted his head slightly while watching her.
"I'll go get Doc," Brandon said as he ran his fingers through his hair while yawning. "Fuck, I'm still tired. We need to take a nap later, Little Pup."
"Everyone still tired?" Sean asked as he came into the room. "Hey Little Rose, are you okay with me giving you a check up?" He waited a second before frowning, "Help her sit up."
She whimpered as their hands grabbed her shoulders and helped her to a sitting position in Luke's lap. The movement had the world spinning causing her to quickly close her eyes so as not to get sick.
"Little Rose, can you open those pretty eyes for me?" Sean asked as he crouched down in front of Luke.
"Boo," she whispered as her eyes began to focus. "No Boo?" she weakly frowned as she took in his slightly blue tinted skin but it wasn't as blue as she remembered.
"Kinda," he smiled as he pressed his fingers into her wrist while looking at his watch. "I'm working with your precious doctor to take care of you three. Styxx and Cerberus needed my help after you won your hide and seek game."
Brooke was having a hard time staying focused so she forced her hands up to her face even though it was really difficult to gather that much energy. She rubbed her eyes in hopes of clearing the fog away. "No like," she barely pouted. "Fix eyes."
"What's the matter with your eyes, Little Rose? Stop rubbing them and let me take a look please," Sean said quickly as he reached up and pulled her hands away back to her sides. Brooke blinked her eyes till she focused on Sean's face. Brandon had joined Sean to see what Brooke was speaking of as Luke leaned over to get a better look at her face.
Gasps came from the men as Brooke's eyes held a light green to them instead of her normal chocolate brown. "What?" she asked with fear in her voice.
"Do you feel different, Carebear?" Luke asked gently.
"Tired," she whispered, "heavy."
"That's from your blood loss," Sean nodded. "Anything else?"
The three men watched as her eyes turned more lime and vibrant right before them, "I'm fine, Buer, and she is physically fine aside from typical symptoms of blood loss and her mistake. Quit pushing, you are frightening her."
"Yes Ma'am," all three men's voices deepened.
"Feel funny," she pouted as the green faded to a mixture of green and brown. "No like."
"Okay, Little Rose," Sean nodded as he cupped her head in his hands. "Do you feel like you're fighting against being my little girl right now?"
"Not whittle," she pouted.
"Okay, do you feel like you're someone else?" Luke asked.
"I special," she dropped her head into the crook of his neck. "Seepy."
"I could go for a nap," Brandon nodded. "Quit hogging her, Styxx."
"Rawr be silly, Dada," she murmured against Luke's skin.
"Rawr?" Brandon asked as Luke tried to hold back his laughter.
She used what little energy she had to lift her head, "You Spotty, Spotty rawr away baddies, you rawr."
"Fine, Little Pup," Brandon rolled his eyes and gave in knowing it was a losing battle when it came to her and her wants.
"Let's see if this will help you feel any better," Sean said as his eyes darkened even more and his skin turned to a cerulean blue tint. He put one hand on Luke's thigh and the other on Brandon's before he started chanting. A light blue mist-like form wrapped around his hands and onto the men's legs. They inhaled sharply as energy flowed through them as if they had downed four shots of espresso and energy drinks. With Luke's hands around Brooke's body, the mist swirled around her like a blanket.
"That feels funny, Boo," she giggled. "You tickling me."
"Now, now my precious Little Rose, those giggles of yours are contagious," Sean said as a few chuckles escaped. "It will be just be a moment more and then I'm sure Styxx would have a nice treat for your bravery."
Brooke whipped her head up to face Luke and saw he had a smirk on his face as he winked at her. "Dada has yummy?"
"You know it, Little Love," he smirked. "Now ready to go surprise everyone?"
