"Be quiet."

Brooke slowly woke to a warm breath caressing her cheek. She was too comfy and warm to open her eyes as she tried to fall back asleep.

"If you wake her I won't stop Raven from doing whatever he wants to you."

"Both of you will be quiet immediately."

Movement underneath her caused pain to course through her body, letting a whimper leave her. "Darling?" Owen asked gently as he pushed some hair out of her face.

"Ow," she whispered.

Both bodies moved away immediately from her causing goosebumps to rise along her arms. Feeling an arm wrap around her neck and midsection caused more whimpers to escape as she felt like pins and needles were all over her body as a pulsing fire flowed through her veins. Her eyes felt like sand bags yet dryer than the Sahara Desert and with her mouth so dry she briefly wondered if it was filled with cotton.

"Sweetheart, can you look at me so I can see your gorgeous eyes?" the voice of Sean filtered through her pain.

"Tired Sean," she slurred while kind of pressing her face into the pillow. "Hurt, make stop please."

"Okay Sweetheart," he whispered. "I'll make it stop but you must promise me that you will eat something afterwards or it will make you sick."

"Reamy sick," she mumbled.

"What was that?" he chuckled.

She let out a groan then winced at the feeling of swallowing glass, "already feel sick, Sean. All hurts. All."

"Okay Sweetheart, here, take a few slow sips of water then I will cast some more healing magic," Sean said as Owen passed him a glass of water with a straw in it.

A pleased moan left her as the cool water slid down her throat, relieving some of the pain. "Easy does it, Darling," Owen warned gently as he pulled the cup away. "Small sips for now."

"Kay," she pouted as she dropped her head onto his chest. "No feel good."

"I know," he murmured as he ran his fingers through her hair in a soothing manner. "But Sean will make you feel better soon." She leaned back with a confused look. "What is it?"

"You say Sean," she softly pouted. "You worried."

"I am," he admitted. "You scared me with your accident. After everything that has happened, I thought we had lost you."

She lifted her hand and cupped his jaw, "Sorry Owen," she whispered. "I didn't–"

"Hush," He shook his head before pressing it into her hand again. "We know."

"Don't be surprised if we don't let you leave our sight for a while, Little One," Sean said as he sat the medical bag on the bed. "Some of us may even carry you everywhere."

"Kay," she sighed softly. "No be alone now."

"Just remember that in a few days," Sean chuckled.

"Silly Doc," she murmured as she pressed into Owen slightly. A whimper left her as she weakly clutched his shirt. "No feel good, Dragon."

"I know," he whispered, "Sean is going to make you feel better."

"You said this tickled last time, Sweetheart, so it should be the same this time," Sean said as he put his hands on her back since she was facing Owen with her head in the crook of his neck. "I know you won't like this Owen, but I need you to lay her on the bed and not touch her while I do this."

"Excuse me?" Owen raised his eyebrow at his best friend.

"If you are touching her, then it will be transferred to you as well," Sean tried to explain. "Just like with Brandon and Lucien. You can sit beside her, but with you being in good health and me healing her, I am not sure how it will affect you and we can not take any chances right now."

Owen stared at him for a few minutes before letting out a deep huff, "Very well but I am not happy about it, I want it noted, Dr. Green."

"I know," Sean nodded, "but think of it this way, I'm not asking you to leave the room."

"As if you would be able to make that happen," Owen grumbled as he carefully pulled her back slightly. "I will be by your side the entire time, Darling."

"Hold me after," she whispered as she gave him a weak smile.

"What's funny, Darling?" He asked as he shifted her as gently as possible.

"Doc boss you."

Owen gave her his millimeter smile he reserved strictly for her, "Just this one time. It's not going to become a habit, I assure you."

"It will if it is in regards to our Carebear's health," Sean smirked before grabbing his stethoscope from his bag to avoid Owen's stare.

"Silly boys," she murmured into the pillow as she closed her eyes. "Owey?"

"I'm right here, Darling," he said as he moved closer to her head. She let out a soft sigh of happiness when his Irish Spring scent surrounded her. "What would you like to eat when Dr. Green is done? I'll have a few of the boys either go get it or start making it."

"Chinese," she turned to face him even though her eyes were still closed. "Sesame chicky, eggy soup, rolls, lo noodles, soy sauce, please."

Sean smirked at the relief in Owen's eyes hearing her request, even though he was filled with equal relief. Her appetite coming back meant she was recovering. "I'm on it," a deep voice came from the doorway.

"Northy," Brooke smiled happily.

"Hi Baby Girl," he said as he walked closer to the bed. "I was coming to give Doc and Mr. B some water but I like my surprise."

"No touching, North," Sean shook his head seeing North's hand reach to push some hair out of Brooke's face. "I'm about to heal her and I can't risk someone else touching her right now."

"After food, Northy," she tried to compromise. "Oh cold Boo," she gasped, feeling the cool mist touch her bare back.

"Sorry, Little Rose," Sean's voice dropped, letting her know Baur was working with him. "Let me know if–"

"It tickles now," she let out a light giggle, "feel better, Boo."

"Good," he hummed as he pushed more energy into her.

"I'll go get the food," North said as he forced his eyes away from the bruises and stitches on her body. While he was glad to see the bruises fade and her color start to come back it just reminded him of the meatsacks currently waiting for him and his family to deal out their punishments and anger. He was glad him and demon agreed that Brooke, her health, and her happiness came above all else and if she was actually asking for food then that was what he was going to get her. "LUKE! MARC!" he yelled as he left the room.

"What?" Multiple men asked in a panic as they raced to the stairs.

North pulled his keys out of his pocket. "Baby Girl wants Chinese, let's go."
