Getting out of bed was an act of Congress. I had a long day ahead of me because after I finished my regular eight-to-five, I would have to get on the road to go to my first rodeo as an official PRCA contestant in Silver City, New Mexico. It wasn't too far of a drive to me as it was only nine hours, but I was still planning to get there a day early to let the horses settle in considering the weather may be different since it was in southern New Mexico.
But as always, I prepared for the worst: extra fans, electrolytes, cooling blankets, ice wraps, etc.
And that was just for the horses.
Although it was a normal occurrence for me to pack my life away at a rodeo, this one would be different.
Zak was coming with me!
He had returned home on Sunday from San Diego filming at the Whaley House, which airs this Saturday, so his schedule was free to come with me for the weekend before he left again to film in Pioche, Nevada the following week to get another episode out for June 21st, and I was grateful that he was trying so hard to support me in between his own strenuous schedule.
