Words couldn't describe how excited I was to get this museum opened to the public. Tori and I have made a lot of progress with getting the primary layout done so that we could start narrowing down on every room to open as an exhibit, and she did phenomenal with making sure everything fell into place when it came to getting the artifacts I had already collected over the years from their storage unit to the museum. She knew that I wanted to debut the museum by filming an episode, and she did everything in her power to help my mom and I with decorating, setting up the exhibits, setting up the gift shop, pretty much everything.
Not only were we planning to air an episode to debut the museum, but I had also expressed to her my ideas about a spin-off show called Deadly Possessions, bringing a different focus onto what I was already used to doing, but also doing a different approach into our show.
Things in my life, career wise, have really been taking off. I had been getting ready to open a museum, we're getting ready to start filming for a new season in a few months, and I'm also in the process of buying a house in Indiana - sight unseen - so that I could film my investigation there. As for Tori, she was still competing in local rodeos, but she has it in her head that she had already experienced the National Finals and that was good enough, but I wanted her to win the world like she deserved.
She put her entire dream on hold just to be there to experience mine, and I've mentally beaten myself for not proposing to her sooner. I still haven't yet, but that was another goal of mine, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't terrified at the thought. I was afraid that it wasn't the right time or that she would say no, but I knew in my heart that she's my soulmate. I wanted my proposal to be intimate and special - something only she and I knew about, but I just didn't know how.
Yet.
"Alright, Mr. Bagans, after this last set, the entire bunch of security cameras should be working now." My electrician stated as we were finally crossing another goal off of my list: security cameras.
"Thanks, man. I've gotta run up front real quick."
"Alright. I'll meet you up there when I finish up."
"Okay, thanks."
"Not a problem."
When I walked into the room that would soon be the gift shop, I couldn't help but grin when I saw Tori and my mom giggling amongst themselves like they always did while they proceeded to continue decorating the shelves and putting fresh paint along the wall. "Not getting any headaches inhaling those fumes?" I questioned, crossing my arms over my chest while I watched her work, noting how beautiful she looked in the simple black sweatpants she wore along with a black tank top and one of my plaid shirts that she stole from my closet. In her defense, I hardly wore it, but it was always cute to see her wearing my shirts, especially when they swallowed her whole.
