We both hated going out near big crowds around the holidays, so we opted to do our Christmas shopping early and in the middle of the week instead of the weekend. It was still fairly busy and crowded, but nothing like it would be on weekends, I'm sure.

It was expected that we would likely get recognized and asked to take photos, and I had no problem with that and neither did Zak and Aaron, but we would all have to admit that our plan to take only an hour ended up being two and a half.

I was ready to get home and away from the various noises going on throughout the mall, my head throbbing as I felt my blood sugar was getting low and that I wanted something to eat. I didn't want to stay here much longer, that's for sure.

"Are you feeling alright, sweetie?" Zak asked me, breaking me from my inner thoughts.

"Hm? Yeah, I'm okay. Feeling a bit hungry, though."

"Are you sure? Because I asked you a question a few seconds ago and it's like you didn't even hear me," he explained, his expression clearly worried. "Is it your head giving you problems again?"

"A little, but I'm fine. I promise."

"You don't look fine, Tori..." Aaron added.

"I mean, I do have a headache, but I think it's because this is the first time I've been in a crowded environment and there's a lot going on at one time with so many different smells and sounds and it's kind of overwhelming." I explained, knowing that years ago, I would've just said I was fine and went on, but Zak helped me find my confidence in telling him when I was uncomfortable.

That, and he knew when I was because apparently, he could see it all over my face.

"And that's okay," Zak assured me. "Do you want to go ahead and go home? We can come back later."

"No, it's okay. I'll be fine until you guys are ready to leave," I waved my hand. "We should finish shopping for your mom. We already got everything except for her gift."

"And yours, but I'm going to have to sneak out of the house for that one." he smirked, he and Aaron taking a quick glance at each other as if they had already discussed prior.

I then raised my brows at him, "Hm, funny because I'm doing the same with yours."

"Oh, I know," he chuckled. "You're not very good at the whole sneaking out thing. But I'll let it slide since it's almost Christmas."

"First of all!" I scoffed. "You're right, but you can't be mad if you accidentally see your gift!"

Aaron and Zak both laughed, "I'll turn a blind eye, sweetie."

"Good."

"Which one do you think my mom would like?" he asked, gesturing down to the diamond necklaces in the case.
