We had finally landed in Gary, Indiana, and the weather here was not what we were used to back home in Las Vegas. We've had a fair share of cold weather, but north/northeast winters can be brutal. Snow continued to fall as we waited on Jay and Matt to pick Zak and I up from the airport with the rental car as they arrived a day before us to go through the equipment and make sure things were working properly.

Once we arrived at the hotel, Zak and I wasted no time ordering take-out after we met with Jay and Matt to brief about what we were about to be dealing with. "Whatcha workin' on, sweetie?" Zak asked me as he returned to the room with the food we had ordered.

I held my finger up at him quietly as I gestured that I was on a phone call with a producer who had found out about the documentary Zak was filming, being very aggressive with me in regards to him wanting the film rights for the family who lived in the house prior to it being empty. He furrowed his brows at me before I put the phone on speaker, letting him listen in to the passive-aggressive tone that this man was speaking to me. "His contract was unenforceable, I don't know why he can't get that through his head. Maybe you should try telling him that!

"We don't know anything about that." I answered calmly.

"That's a load of shit and you know it."

"Here, give me the phone," Zak gestured to me, opening his hand at me after setting the food down on the table. "Who is this?" He questioned into the phone, walking across the room to sit on the edge of the bed while he left it on speaker.

"Zak, your contract was unenforceable. I don't know why that's so hard for your little assistant to understand. What I am telling you is that Father Mike still is under the belief that he only granted you documentary rights, number one."

"Number one, you're not going to bully me around. Don't call my girlfriend and talk down to her when she has no hand in this. You have no reason to be contacting me or her in the first place."

"All I'm telling you is that you were only granted documentary rights, not film rights."

"It's going to be a documentary, not a film."

"That's not what I was told."

"Maybe you should've contacted me directly before you called her and started barking down at her when she has no hand in this."

"You'll be hearing from my attorney, then."

"That's fine. Don't bully me around and tell me that I should be listening to what he's saying because it sounds to me like these are threats. I have attorneys of my own, and I don't want to go this route, so I advise you to think really hard about this decision before you follow through with it."

Just as the man was about to reply, Zak had hung up on him and was toying on my phone for a few seconds before he handed it back to me, "I blocked his number. If someone contacts you like that again, please hang up or give the phone to me, okay?"
