Could I say I was surprised that Zak showed up to a rodeo I was competing at three hours away from his location? Honestly, yes, but his reasoning was that the owners of the place made them feel kind of rushed, so they did interviews, B-Roll, and a lockdown all in one night, and though I thought it was impossible, he and the guys always worked well together when having to do things in a pinch. I was beyond ecstatic that they all were here to support me, and neither one of them looked like they were at an inconvenience, which made me feel like they supported Zak 100% on his relationship with me, welcoming me every time with open arms.

"I hope we made it early enough to watch you run!" Ashley said into my ear as she welcomed me in a hug.

"You all definitely did!" I smiled, patting her back. "I am surprised that you all showed up! I mean, I'm happy you did, but Zak said he was about three hours away from me."

"Yeah, I'm guessing you missed the tour bus that we all came out of." Jay snickered.

Boy, was he right.

"Oh, wow. Was that easier for you instead of flying?"

"It's a lot easier. On shorter trips like this, we figured renting an RV was more comfortable than piling into an SUV with all of our gear and everything." Aaron nodded.

"Definitely," Billy added. "We have a lot of problems when we have to fly because we have so much equipment, some can get damaged or lost through the airline and it causes a major headache."

"Jesus. I can't imagine."

"You will if you ever start touring..." Ashley teased, nudging my elbow.

"I don't think I'll ever do that. I love writing music, but I love rodeoing and horses even more." I shrugged.

"I don't blame you." She agreed.

"Where'd Zak go?" I questioned.

"Poor dude had to go to the bathroom so bad he couldn't see straight," Billy snickered. "And we hit up a random candy store along the way that Aaron wouldn't shut up about, so Zak got some peppermints for your horses."
