I've never felt more like a creep than I do now.

When I was younger, I used to climb the walls of my family's estate and listen in on my father's meetings from the window outside, so that's saying a lot.

I'm sitting in Emma's car and watching for any sign of Neal and Tamara leaving Granny's. Emma thought the best place to start searching would be Neal and Tamara's room.

So here we sit, in Emma's car, waiting for the two to leave.

"So... Neal?" I break the silence, taking a large bite of the donut Emma bought me.

It's sickeningly sweet, but the black coffee balances it out perfectly.

"Oh god, not you too."

She throws her head back with a groan and gives me an irritated look.

"I'm not saying it because I think you're doing this because of jealousy..." I trail off.

"But?"

"But it's clear you still care about him," I say.

She opens her mouth, but I cut her off.

"As more than a friend."

"I don't! I'm over it!" She exasperates.

I notice two people walking out of Granny's.

"Duck!"

We both slide down in our seats. I sigh when I get a good look at them.

"Not them."

We both settle back into our seats normally and sit in silence for another couple of minutes.

"Let's talk about your love life." She says suddenly.

"Or lack thereof," I mutter, staring at the door to the diner.

"Hook?"

My head whirls towards her so fast I feel my head spin. I really hope I'm not blushing. I would never hear the end of it. I do not blush.

"Hook? He's betrayed me twice! Twice!" I exclaim.

She gives me a knowing smile, and I roll my eyes while taking another sip of coffee.

"And Neal betrayed me twice. Once, when he didn't tell me the truth about who he is, and the second when he let me go to prison."

"That's different, you were already in love when he did those things." I sigh before adding. "Besides, I'm pretty sure he's still roaming around New York, thinking he killed Gold."

The last bit comes out softer than I intended. I put the donut down, suddenly not very hungry anymore.

"You're worried about him." She says gently.
