By the time Regina rides off with Killian, my mind is already spinning with a million plans. But all my plans lead me in one direction. Rumpelstiltskin. The only problem is finding the slippery bastard and I don't think the village people are going to be to keen on even hearing his name.
I stop in my tracks when I spot a clothesline and look down at my very modern looking clothing. I look around, making sure the owners of said clothing aren't lurking around before grabbing the clothes off the clothesline. I raise a brow when I realize all the clothes are baby blue. Well, this person certainly has a preference. Thankfully, our interests are the same.

The clothes are a little tight but still breathable enough to move comfortably as I make the long trek to the nearest town. I make sure to stay off the road in the treeline. I can't rescue my damsel in distress if I get myself killed or worse, captured. I stop walking when I notice a tree blocking the path of the road and squint my eyes suspiciously. This has highwaymen written all over it.
I quickly duck down behind a tree nearby when the sound of more horses come from behind me. I'm hoping that it's the Queen, since this is her road. But instead, knights dressed in white and grey chain mail with a white carriage following come to a halt at the sight of the fallen log.
"Halt!" One of the knights yell. I feel myself sneer slightly at the sight of the familiar sigil on their armor. King Midas's men. "My lord." A man steps out of the carriage, who is obscured by the tree I'm hiding behind.
"Worry not, it's but a fallen tree." My eyes widen when I see David is the man who stepped out of the carriage as he walks over towards his men. Holy shit. Realization hits me like a truck as I begin to recognize what's happening. I look up with a grin and, yep, there's Snow White perched in a tree, ready to strike. I move slowly, knowing that I need to leave. If either of these two see me, it could ruin everything. Unfortunately, I had kneeled on a weak branch.
Snap. Both me and Snow White look at each other with shocked expressions. But even worse, she loses her balance and falls out of the tree. I stare in the direction she fell, mouth agape and ears ringing.
"Look at these markings." My head snaps in the direction of David's voice. No. No. No. This can't be happening. "This tree didn't fall, it's been cut. It's an ambush." Him and the knights draw their swords. I look over and make eye contact with Snow who shakes her head before running off in the other direction. The carriage takes off on it's intended path not long after.
I step out into the road softly, as though my footsteps alone could alter the passage of time. And now, I guess they can. I still have a dumbstruck look stuck on my face as I stare after the retreating carriage. This is...beyond bad.
"You've got to be kidding me." I whisper to myself. I need to find Rumpelstiltskin as soon as possible.
"Hello, Dearie." I jump out of my skin at the sound of the familiar voice from behind me. There he is, in all his scaley glory. The Dark One. I breath a sigh of relief and fight the urge to make a comment on his skincare routine but think better of it, deciding to get straight to the point.
"I need help." I start. He rolls his eyes.
"Yes, yes. What is it you need? Riches, eternal youth, twue love?" He asks with a dramatic flourish of his hands and a funny voice. I open and close my mouth, taken off guard. I'm used to boring, but still menacing, Mr. Gold. This man resembles more of a jester than a dark wizard. I sigh and take a deep breath.
"I'm from the future and I need to get back to the present without screwing up the past...which I may or may not have already done." I explain with a wince.
"You expect me to believe that? No ones ever gone back in time before. Believe me, I've tried." He says with a sarcastic smile, pointing an accusing finger at me before turning to leave. My heart picks up speed as panic begins to grip me.
"If you don't help me, you'll never see your son again!" I exclaim suddenly, stopping him in his tracks. He turns back to face me slowly, a dangerous look in his eye. That's the Gold I know.
"What do you know of my son?" He sneers.
"I know that you're planning on enacting a curse to be reunited with him. And I know that the woman who breaks said curse so you can find him will never have been born if you don't help me." I say, hoping that the scared look on my face is enough to convince him of my honesty.
"Then answer me one question." He says, taking a step towards me. "Do I find my son?" I feel a stab of sympathy pain my heart. I don't trust Gold as far as I can throw him but there are two things about him that I've never doubted. His love for his son and his love for Belle.
"Yes." I respond sadly. His eyes light up despite my tone and a wide grin takes over his face before he composes himself.
"And, how exactly did you manage to screw up the past?" He asks, pressing his fingertips together with a grin. I wince.
"Two things." I say out of the corner of my mouth.
"Two?" He asks rhetorically, blinking slowly.
"I came here with someone. You know him, Captain Hook." I say with my biggest wince yet. His face morphs into one of pure rage and I quickly put my hands up. "And before you get any murderous plans, you can't kill him. He saves your sons life in the future so..." I don't even know if that's true or not but I'll say anything to prevent him from crushing Killian's heart. He grits his teeth and, for a moment, I think he plans to kill him regardless. But just as fast, the expression falls from his face hesitantly.
"And where is he?" He spits out venomously.
"The Evil Queen took him. But I don't need your help with that, I can get him back on my own. I just wanted to warn you, as a sign of good faith. And so you won't kill him on site..." I trail off, muttering the last part to myself.
"Very well, what's the second thing?" He asks with a skeptical look.
"I accidentally prevented two people from meeting and, consequentially, falling in love. Snow White and Prince James." I wait until he raises a brow in recognition before continuing. "The woman who breaks your curse? That's their daughter."
"And she'll never have been born with your mistake."
