I don't know why I did that

I don't know why I did that. Ever since I kissed Killian on the cheek, he's been staring at me across the fire pit. Which I pretend not to notice. It was a friendly kiss. One to say thank you for him making me feel better. Friends kiss each other on the cheek. My father used to kiss me on the cheek. Yes, me kissing him was just friendly.

Thankfully, David must have noticed my discomfort because he took Killian to go get more rope for us. Snow had told us her plan to trap a lost boy to give Henry a message for us. I'm not a big fan of this plan, I must admit. Pan? I'll fight any day. But I want to include the Lost Boys in this as little as possible.

Not long after, David and Killian rejoin us, going on about a sextant. I'm very familiar with sextants. I remember taking my father's as a child because I thought it was cool. I had no idea what it did but I pretended like I knew. When my father found out he was angry at first and then, after grounding me for a week, taught me how to use it.

Apparently, when Killian was on the island years ago, he left one behind. Sextants are used to navigate using the stars, if we can get our hands on one, we might just have a way off the island.

"There's a sextant here? You didn't think to tell us earlier?" I ask Killian with furrowed brows.

"How do we know you're not lying?" Regina asks suspiciously, coming up beside me.

"Oh, you don't. But I'm not. This is the best hope yet we've had of an exit plan and don't forget, we're gonna need one." He's right. The only other way I can think of is to make a deal with Pan. I think it goes without saying, that should be plan Z.

"Let's go then, with the sextant we can decode Neal's star map." I say, nodding at the others. I go to grab my bag but Killian stops me with a hand on my arm. I look up at him, perplexed.

"Emma's right. Every day Henry spends here without hope is a day closer to becoming a lost boy. David and I should go." He tells me and my head snaps to the others. Thankfully, Snow seems to share my concern. Going alone? On Neverland? He could die! And David too! Hopefully, Snow knocks some sense into them.

"Hook's right." I look at David incredulously. Just minutes ago they were ready to rip each other's throats out.

"Uh... splitting up? Does that sound like a bad idea to anyone else?" Snow asks, the worry clear in her voice. I look over to Killian to see him already looking at me.

"It's the last thing I want to do but if there's a chance he can get us home..." David replies, walking up to his wife and taking her in his arms.

"Okay." She relents reluctantly.
