We're so screwed. I was enjoying a nice dinner at Granny's last night with Belle after we reunited, when Emma called to tell me some bad news. Seemingly, the only time anyone calls me is when there's bad news. Zelena had taken Emma's powers from her by threatening Henry's life and forcing her hand. Unfortunately, that means the responsibility for stopping the witch lies solely on me and Regina. But thanks to the Dark One being enslaved by Zelena, she managed to get Regina's heart. But she still has her magic.
Hence why I'm not making my way to Regina's house. She asked us all to meet her there, claiming she has some plan to stop Zelena. I really hope she's right, because I barely managed to stop Pan with my powers.
I open the door to the sight of Killian holding a vibrant green apple in his hand. I smile slightly at the sight, having not seen him since our moment at the docks. The room we're in looks like a small library, with volumes littering the wooden bookshelves and a singular table sitting in the middle of the room.
"I'd watch out for the apples in this house. I heard they have a bit of a kick to them," I joke while taking off my coat. He doesn't even look up from the fruit.
"Aye," he replies sourly.
"Someone's in a dour mood," I say, folding my coat over the back of a chair. I turn to look at him, but he avoids my gaze. I furrow my brows. "Did something happen?"
"The witch terrorizing the town isn't enough of a reason?" he says, setting the apple aside and joining the rest of the group at the table.
"Well, we're gonna take care of that. Regina said she had a plan," I reassure him, sinking into the leather-cushioned seat while he settles in to my right. I tune into Emma, David, and Snow's heated conversation.
"Emma, will you please tell your mother that we're not gonna name your brother Leopold?" David says with a pleading expression.
"Leopold?" I ask through a laugh.
"It was my father's name," Snow says defensively, putting a hand to her chest. The smile on my face drops.
"Oh."
"People will make fun of him," David tells her.
"My father was a king."
"Which is why people didn't make fun of him." Before this little tiff can continue, the door swings open and Regina walks in.
"Sorry to keep you waiting," she says in lieu of a greeting, holding a silver teapot. "I was making this special tea." In front of us sits a small tray with five shot-sized goblets lined around it. She pours a bit of the tea into each goblet. The smell of the tea is floral and fills the room, reminding me of early winter mornings as a child. David picks up the little goblet closest to him, lifting it toward his mouth.
"No, don't drink it!" Regina shouts before the goblet even touches his lips. I jolt slightly at the sudden loudness. "It's a deadly poison for summoning the dark vortex." David puts the goblet back down while breathing a sigh of relief.
