The storm caused us to divert from Hook's plan slightly

The storm caused us to divert from Hook's plan slightly. And by slightly, I mean completely. The ship had too much damage from the storm for us to continue. We were forced to dock at the closest land we could find. We're right on the treeline of the beach.

The hairs on my arms stand on end at the sight of the dark forest ahead of us. Give me open water, and I can navigate with no issue, but this? This is a labyrinth I'm unfamiliar with. I can't help but feel thankful that Hook's with us. Which is not something I ever thought I'd admit to, even to myself.

My feet touch the soft sand of the beach. I half expect Pan to appear and disintegrate us all. My lungs still burn from the water I inhaled, but besides that, my legs feel like dead weight.

When was the last time I slept?

"We don't have to do it this way. I can fix the Jolly Roger with my magic so we can execute the pirate's plan." Regina offers.

"It's too late for a sneak attack. Pan already knows we're here, so you should save your magic for when the real fighting starts." I tell her.

She reluctantly relents.

"It's time we stop running. Gold was right, this land is run on belief. All of us have been too busy being at each other's throats to be believers." Emma says, turning to face the group.

She's right. We all almost lost our lives because of our unwillingness to work together. Neverland is not the place for petty feuds.

"I was as wrong as anyone else. But it's time for all of us to believe. Not in magic, but in each other." She finishes.

"You want to be friends? After everything that's happened between us?" Regina asks skeptically.

"I don't want or expect that. I know there's a lot of history here, and a lot of hate, but we don't need to be friends. What we need to know is that the only way to get Henry back is cooperation." Emma responds.

I glance around at the group wearily.

"With her? With him? No, Emma, we have to do this the right way." David says.

"No, we don't. We just need to succeed, and the way we do that is by just being who we are. A hero. A villain. A pirate. A leader. It doesn't matter which, because we're gonna need all those skills, whether we can stomach them or not." She explains.

As crazy as it sounds, that might actually work. None of us is going to change who we are or what we are, but we don't need to. Not today, at least.

"And what's your skill, savior?" Regina snarks.

Emma squares her shoulders.

"I'm a mother." She replies simply. She turns her attention to me. "Alice? Lead on."

My eyes widen as I look around, letting out an incredulous laugh.

"Wait, What? I've never even been here before, nor do I know anything about Pan!" I point out.
