The Wicked Witch was ballsy enough to break into Regina's office, which is strange because, according to Regina, she had the place protected with blood magic. Regina is watching Henry while me, Emma, Killian, and David search the place. It's obvious even at first glance that the place has been ransacked. The once ornate mansion is covered in broken glass, black-and-white embroidered furniture tipped over, drawers left open. I walk over to the middle of the room and crouch down to get closer to the white floor. I notice something red that piques my interest, small enough that it could've been mistaken for a ladybug.

"Look here," I say, picking up the small berry between my fingers. The others come over, gathering around and squinting at the small bit of berry staining my fingers red.

"Unless Regina has a penchant for wild berries, this is our only clue."

David bends down, picking up a different berry and smelling it.

"This is holly berry. They grow on bushes," he observes.

"As opposed to berries that grow on trees," I say with a roll of my eyes. He shoots me a look, and I shrug.

"Are you some sort of botanist in this life, mate?" Killian asks sarcastically.

"I worked at an animal shelter. Saw dogs track them all the time," David explains. "The bushes grow in the woods." We all perk up slightly at that. It's the closest thing to a lead we've had so far.

"You know where?" Emma asks hopefully.

"Yeah, the northwest corner, not far from the toll bridge," he says. Suddenly, his phone rings, and he pulls it out of his pocket before answering. Based on his tone, I'm assuming it's his wife. After only a minute of talking, he hangs up and turns to face us with a large sigh.

"Uh, Mary Margaret needs me to come back to the loft. We're getting a midwife, and she wants to meet the both of us," he says apologetically.

"Bit demanding, isn't she?" Killian says, and my head snaps in his direction with furrowed brows. He sees the look I'm giving him, and he course-corrects. "I meant the midwife." He raises a brow in my direction, and I roll my eye before turning my attention back to David.

"Alice, Killian, you go scout out the lead, and we'll meet back up with you after," Emma says, and I feel a knot form in my stomach.

"Wait, you're not coming?" I ask, arching my brow. She smiles sympathetically.

"It's my little brother being born. I want to be there," she tells me, and before I can object, Killian cuts in eagerly.

"Great, we'll meet you when you get done."
